Bedrooms are small, front desk area is small and not impressive, underground car park has an extremely narrow/ claustrophobic passageway to get to it. These problems were designed to give way for the huge dining and bar area which are actually underground & beneath the front lawn & entrance. The bar is especially luxuriousiously comfortable and seating spaciously spread out. Would happily spend the night their with family & friends dining and soaking up great atmosphere.
Everywhere spotless. Plenty of staff available to look after us. Cleaning was ongoing after guests had left their tables.
Overall a great hotel and lovely experience, nice bar downstairs and the staff were friendly but could've been more attentive at times
Second occasion this month to stay over...staff excellent,all queries dealt with promptly and available. Food fantastic,great variety and lovely ambiance. The old building has been modernised but has kept its original character.Will definitely return.
