Proprietress was efficient, and the rooms clean. However, the listing states 'free parking' and yes, the few spaces near the B&B were 'free' as in you do not pay, but they were never FREE in that there were always local cars in the spaces. While the location was good in that it was as within the walls, but the twists and narrow roads and parking on steep inclines (standard cars in Italia) was not fun to drive. And I hope this was a one off, but other tenant in the adjacent room, despite the law, was smoking and the odor hit you like a wall when you entered the hallway.
In the heart of Cortona: courtesy and professionalism
In the center of Cortona with rooms with basic but very clean furnishings. Located in the monastery of San Francesco next to the church of the same name. From the windows you can admire the beautiful cloister of the former convent and the silence that welcomes you in the morning is priceless. Classic bb breakfast with everything prepackaged.
We stayed in the B&B San Francesco di Cortona at the end of June 2020 (2 couples) and we appreciated in addition to the cleanliness and kindness of Mrs. Beatrice the strategic location in the country. The breakfast without time constraints was a plus, in a place that in addition to peace and tranquility savored the value of the holiday. Thanks and we hope to return.
Fantastic location! Super hospitality and the competence of Beatrice who gives suggestions on the surroundings, a restful place, spacious and bright room, thorough cleaning. Recommended!!!
