This hotel is definitely one of the more budget friendly places to stay in Cortona, but rooms go fast in high season so make sure to book beforehand. The rooms are clean and big with a few minor stains on the bed cover (sheets are clean!). The beds themselves were very boxspringy, so if you need a firm matras, they might be uncomfortable for you.
The receptionist was very friendly with explaining the house rules and helped us with a safe spot to put our bicycles. The hours that the reception is staffed is limited however (the receptionist also clarified this beforehand).
Also WiFi comes at an additional 1 euro charge/device which was not a big deal but you would think that this would be included in the price.
All in all we had a good experience and would come here again if the few remarks above were taken care of.

Convent recently converted into a hotel, in 2015. Simplicity of furnishings, very clean. Great location, private parking. The only flaw is the light sensors in the room: two emergency light sensors, one red and one intermittent green; an intermittent green sensor in the air conditioning control block; two intermittent red fire sensors on the ceiling. Total make 5 sensors running all night in Christmas tree lighting style.
Bad idea in a bedroom.

Even in the bathroom there are two sensors flashing all night, I warn you in case you decide to go to sleep.
We stayed at this property only one night, but it was a pleasant discovery. Very polite and helpful staff, huge room, as well as the bathroom, all spotlessly clean and refurbished. A stone's throw from the center, very convenient, they even let us leave the car in the private parking lot even though we had already left the structure. Highly recommended!
Excellent location to visit Cortona ... the place deserves ... for the price ... than for the rooms, well kept and well maintained ... everything practically renovated. Excellent reception ... and very helpful ... you could improve with a slightly richer breakfast ...
