I love Black Cat Cafe, it's such a great place to chill and do some online work, or meet with a friend. Low-key vibes here, it usually isn't too packed or loud. Really cool staff, and the menu is really impressive. Try the Builder's Bap (add cheese) for a great brunch sandwich.
Definitely feels like I'm not in Sri Lanka when I visit here . . . I am transported back to Brooklyn or Los Angeles. The industrial design elements, tasteful decor and art direction, it's a legitimately cool/hip spot.
This place has really good customer service. The guy who helped us with everything was very nice and kind. Has enough parking but not for more than 5-6 vehicles. The menu was pretty clear but not enough options. Would have loved to order from a better variety of food options. However it was good enough for us. Price is average compared to most other places. It is worth for the money since the portion sizes are good and filling. We bought three different types of spaghetti and all three were pretty decent in taste. Its a small area and with a crowd it gets noisy. Antique and vintage atmosphere. Will recommend for a meetup with friends.
Do yourself a favor and visit this place. The ambiance is welcoming and very unique. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Colombo.
Ps: Their "Poached Herb Chicken Sandwich" is a must-try. Eventhough, they were using local coffee beans (soul coffee) (if um not mistaken) I couldn't tell a difference. ( I tried both cappuccino and cafe mocha). Highly recommended!
Good food. Good customer care. Cozy ambience but not the usual cozy. Great place to hangout. Personal opinion - coffee container may be changed to a mug or a more coffee friendly container, not size wise but to give the coffee feeling.
Burger was great but they could improve on the fries. For the price paid some thick cut fries would have been better compared to a few frozen ones.
