1 The Godfrey Hotel Chicago

I had a great stay. As it turned out, this was one of my best hotel stays EVER, thanks to the Assistant Manger Ron. I later found out that the key to getting a better room is to check in early (which I did not do).
As a full-time caregiver in much need of respite, upon my arrival I asked the desk clerk for the quietest room in hotel. They were sold out and they only room they had was a couple of floors above the club. I almost wanted to cry and I guess it showed on my face. The next thing I know Ron took over. I ended up with one of the best rooms in the hotel...a suite! It was perfect. It was sooo comfortable, especially the bedding. I didn't want to leave. Most importantly, I didn't hear a thing. I slept straight through the night.
Would I stay there again? You bet! Even though Ron gave me good advice...if you really want peace and quiet don't book a downtown hotel. He's probably right, but I would definitely stay there again.

Pretty solid all around. I didn't interact with staff all that much, but when I did they were friendly and helpful. The water for the showers heated up quick and stayed hot. My only problems aren't necessarily big bad problems. The pillows could've been more comfortable and I feel like the room I booked was a little different from the photos I saw online. I thought I'd have a little more space, but I still really enjoyed my stay. The AC didn't respond right away when I was trying to cool down the room. Thankfully, it was pretty chilly outside and I was able to stay comfortable.

I love this hotel. I've stayed here 4 times. The staff is great, the theme is fun, the hot tub is awesome, it's in a great location, and the price point is spot on. 10/10 would stay again.

I really love the concept... and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The suite was perfect for working and resting. The 24hr art exhibit was inspiring to check out super late, when I couldn’t sleep. The staff was friendly. The room was equipped with extra supplies for pandemic safety. I will definitely visit again. Thank you.
5 Royal Sonesta Chicago River North

Have been here for two days and nights. The hotrl is nice with nice staff. Because of covid, there is no housekeeping service but they are very accommodating when you ask for sheets or towels. They have a pool and terrace. Pool was nice, have to make reservations to use it and you get an hour which is plenty of time. This hotel next to an apartment building is nice, out of the way with friendly staff right in the heart of Chicago. The only drawback was parking. Their valet parking was closed and you had to self park. They give vouchers which reduce the price about half. Room was cozy.
6 The Peninsula Chicago

Wonderful atmosphere, amenities, cozy comfortable beds and linens. Safe and clean. Amazing food and service. Smart clean tablets for control of all your lighting heating and entertainment needs.
7 Moxy Chicago Downtown

This was our first stay there and we loved it!!! the rooms are comfy and quaint. We had a corner view of downtown, amazing at night! The best part is the music , to be able to stay in if you want, and go downstairs to jamm and have a drink was even better! The whole crew was exceptional!
The manager Casey was fabulous!!!!! Made my husband and I feel so welcomed it felt like we found a lost relative! Over all we loved our stay and we will definitely be back!!
8 Warwick Allerton - Chicago

My husband and I stayed here about 2 years ago and had a wonderful time. This hotel was in walking distance of so many fun stores and restaurants. Definitely recommend. And the hotel itself was lovely and service was great.
9 The Talbott Hotel

Me and my wife needed assistance from staff due to religious reasons. The staff showed their willingness, care, and knowledge from previous experience on how to assist us. They were happy to help with everything we needed and we're friendly the entire time.
10 Hotel EMC2, Autograph Collection

LOVE LOVE LOVED my stay here! So different from all the other Hotels. Very modern and equipped with technology like Alexa and robots Cleo and Leo. My room was very spacious! Everything was clean! Will for sure be staying here again on my next visit to Chicago. Close to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, 360 Chicago. Loved walking around Chicago Downtown
11 The Ivy Hotel

I was torn between 4 and 5 stars. If we didn't get such a good deal, i probably would've gone with 4.
This hotel was probably state of the art the last time it was remodeled, but now its just a little worn and outdated. On the bright side, at a bit over $100, its a great deal for a soaking tub in a king suite. The furniture and finishes in the room were nice and it was very spacious.
You're probably not gonna get much of a view since it's a smaller place tucked in between large buildings, but we were on the 9th floor and were able to just see over the building next to us. The view was mostly of the water tank on the roof next door, but the huge windows made up for it.
The TVs are not smart, but do have premium cable. I wasn't able to find any music channels though, so they mostly stayed off.
The walls are thin. I could hear lots of different voices all night and the plumbing is loud.
The staff was nice enough, but we didn't have much interaction with them.
12 LondonHouse Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton

images
This is truly a top-notch property; spacious and elegant rooms with great views and a prime location. The room was quiet and well isolated from any hallway noise. I really appreciated the large desk and comfy desk chair which made it easy to get some work done in the room.
It’s great to see they take care of Diamond members and I was grateful for the upgrade to an awesome suite.
I’ll certainly be returning to LondonHouse next time I’m in Chicago
13 The River Hotel

Great hotel for the price and location is great. There was a glitch with reservation and the room but thanks to Pedro at the front desk it was quickly straightened out. The view from 24th floor is awesome. This will be the place to stay in the future.
Again thanks to Pedro and the rest of staff to make it a great weekend.
See you soon
14 Thompson Chicago

images
My fiancé and I went here over Valentine’s Day weekend and we felt very safe - all things considered! The location is excellent. You’re close to tons of shops, restaurants, bars and close to the subway as well. The Thompson also had exceptional customer service. The front desk clerks were friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to accommodate any of our requests. Lastly, the rooms were very clean and tidy. They aren’t huge rooms but they’re very nice and most importantly - clean!
We will definitely be staying here again!
15 The Drake

images
We love The Drake. We come every year for a few days. Always book a lake view room. Last few times we have noticed the rooms are starting to look dated. Furniture are chipped etc. Also it would be so nice if they could clean the windows. It is such a gorgeous view. But windows are always dirty. Otherwise still my favorite hotel.
16 Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago

After our tattoos, @chicagoinktattoo.. we looked online for a possible king size suite with a jacuzzi tub in the room. Everyone seemed to be booked and even though it would've been great to soak in a jacuzzi.. staying in this hotel was well worth not having one. There are photos of 2 rooms, we realized that we had booked a king and not 2 queens, so the front desk gave us new keys, and for $239, I better get what I paid for! The rooms were comfortable, you're going to want extra pillows. Was disgusted when we found the coffee grounds from the previous guests, who knows how long it's been in the coffee pot. Yuck. Was not happy with the mini fridge temperature, I had put leftovers in it and took it out the next day, it was in the fridge for over 6 hours and was warm. If you explore the hotel, make sure you ask to see the Crystal Ballroom, if it's not already open. The gentleman that showed us was very kind and informative about the history and the celebrities that were there back in the day. Check it out and don't be afraid to ask, it's one heck of an experience and you don't want to miss it! Check out is at noon, masks are your option. Excellent staff and service. Parking garages are secure but the prices are horrible. I will have to come back to check out floor 14!
17 theWit Chicago - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

images
I have stayed in a King Suite.
Pros - Awesome views. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Good service. Located next to subways stations. Has a great vale parking. Also has a roof top bar which is outstanding
Cons - Outdated entertainment systems.
18 Virgin Hotels Chicago

images
I spent 3 nights including St. Patrick's Day in Virgin Hotel's Grand Chamber King Suite. Fantastic room. Size was spacious, furnishings were stylish, amenities were plentiful. Service was amazing. Andrew and Lowie at the front desk were great. Jim made us feel like special guests. Get In The Know, it's worth it and fun. We had a view of the green Chicago River which was spectacular. Location = Superb! Highly recommend.
