The Kimpton Gray has been a fantastic place to stay. The interior is well designed and vibrant. The rooms are nice, spacious, and comfortable. Front desk staff was pleasant and easy to work with. The hotel is in a great location, right in the loop downtown, close to almost everything available.
Beautiful old building turned hotel. Staff is incredibly kind and welcoming and the rooms were clean and styled well. Loved our stay and will be back next time we’re in the city.
The Kimpton Gray is officially my favorite Kimpton Hotel. Not only was it beautifully decorated but Joel and his team were absolutely amazing to work with! We were in town for work and they helped us with take-out recommendations and understanding the safety protocols in Chicago. If you ever need to host a meeting or plan a getaway, I 100% recommend booking this hotel.
Spent one night in this hotel for Valentine's Day and we would definitely come back. The rooms were very clean and recently updated with modern furnishings. The room also had a yoga mat in it. Called down to the front desk for a box of tissues because we ran out and was told they would be right up but never arrived. This was the only small issue that we had. We were able to get an early check in and a late check out without an issue. The hotel is in a great location with a short walk to Union station as well as short walks to various CTA stops that make for easy travel around Chicago. The restaurant Boleo is open on the top floor you just need a reservation.
We visited last December before Christmas, and the experience was perfect! The room was clean, and we were accommodated nicely by the staff. Kevin, one of the room attendants was kind enough to assist us in the lift since we were with my 2 yr old super-naughty son. He also immediately refilled the water dispenser when asked. Overall stay was superb!
