I have stayed in a King Suite.
Pros - Awesome views. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Good service. Located next to subways stations. Has a great vale parking. Also has a roof top bar which is outstanding
Cons - Outdated entertainment systems.
Upon entering, Eric at the front desk was amazing! Had great suggestions for local places to see, eat, drink, etc. We really appreciated his kindness and time that he spent explaining great places around Chicago. The gym in the hotel is extremely clean, and very nice, especially for a smaller sized hotel. The room smelled amazing and was clean and cozy. The only thing i would complain about is the bed really was not very comfortable. The sheets and comforter was just very plain and not fluffy like i expected. The mattress felt very dull and too cheap to be at a nicer place like the Wit was. I think maybe they should invest in some new sheets and mattresses and I would give them 5 stars.
We had a great stay at theWit! The location is fantastic, the staff friendly and welcoming, and the rooms well kept. If there is any downside it is the furniture. The couch and the chaise were overly firm and more for decoration than relaxing. I would recommend theWit as a must-stay for any visit to the city!
Checked in and room looked clean but found a dirty sock in my bed. I think given the times there should be extra attention to detail as they’ve made me nervous now. They did move me to a new room promptly which was great. Edit: 03/17/2021 - Had to cancel a couple of zoom meetings this morning because they decided to start construction at 8AM without any prior notice to the guests. Called down spoke to the manager who apologized and said she'd ask them to keep it down. 10 minutes later it started again. Manager offered to switch my room again, I refused the offer as I can't afford to be moving rooms all day. Very frustrated and aside from a "sorry" - there was nothing else the hotel offered to do. Room was is very nice though and has a microwave and a good size fridge. I'm sure everyone's experience won't be like mine because the hotel it self is nicely appointed and the location is amazing. There is a lot of train noise at night so if you're a light sleeper I would reconsider.
Great customer service. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. While we were waiting in line we heard the staff member struggle with his Spanish but the effort to make the customer feel welcomed was so There. Even though Spanish was not his first language he really went out of his way to help the customer.
