For 250 a night it should be microwaves and refrigerators in every room,and the parking sucked.
The employees of this hotel give this property a culture of stellar customer service. It's so woven into the vibe of this hotel it's unbelievable! Every single solitary employee I had contact with would drop everything and anything they were doing to address ANY NEED or guest request. I wish there was an option of 10 stars. This Hotel is the only accomodation I need when in Chicago. My hope is the upper management of this hotel read this review and give every employee in this building a great big thank you!
Great view of the lake. Good location to walk to a plethora of shopping and eateries. They had no parking. I can understand not having valet during covid, but the hotel has their own ramp. Why make guests park in public parking around the block? This could be done better. This is an old hotel. No USB ports for charging anywhere. We didn't realize this and bought a cord while we were out. They wouldn't let us have a charger to use in our room. Their solution was for us to stand at the front desk while our phone charged. ??? K. Rooms are SMALL. They would be way too small for a family.
Thanks to the door man Nick made my day in Chicago so enjoyable. The W is lucky to have a doorman like Nick. The waitress were very kind and friendly. Very safe with covid. Thank you.
The day we arrived we booked our parking spot in the parking garage behind the hotel. Little did we know that our F250 wouldn't fit. We tried calling the parking garage number and they couldn't do anything. We waited outside trying to figure out parking for over an hour. So I called the front desk to see if they could help with our situation since we we're from the area. The manager went out of his to allow us to park in the unloading area since our truck wouldn't fit. We we're beyond great full for that. I loved the lake view, the rooms we're very nice and clean. Staff was beyond helpful and nice!! I recommend it.
