After our tattoos, @chicagoinktattoo.. we looked online for a possible king size suite with a jacuzzi tub in the room. Everyone seemed to be booked and even though it would've been great to soak in a jacuzzi.. staying in this hotel was well worth not having one. There are photos of 2 rooms, we realized that we had booked a king and not 2 queens, so the front desk gave us new keys, and for $239, I better get what I paid for! The rooms were comfortable, you're going to want extra pillows. Was disgusted when we found the coffee grounds from the previous guests, who knows how long it's been in the coffee pot. Yuck. Was not happy with the mini fridge temperature, I had put leftovers in it and took it out the next day, it was in the fridge for over 6 hours and was warm. If you explore the hotel, make sure you ask to see the Crystal Ballroom, if it's not already open. The gentleman that showed us was very kind and informative about the history and the celebrities that were there back in the day. Check it out and don't be afraid to ask, it's one heck of an experience and you don't want to miss it! Check out is at noon, masks are your option. Excellent staff and service. Parking garages are secure but the prices are horrible. I will have to come back to check out floor 14!
The hotel front desk staff was very friendly, they were able to accommodate me and let me check in a little bit early which allowed me more time for sightseeing. The room was nice and clean, no issues at all. Highly recommend it for the price and location. Will definitely stay they are again when I’m in town.
I just want to give a special thanks to Anita. She was so warm and helpful. She was very informative. Our bank card was blocked because too many transactions from out of town; she was patient and kind to us. She gave us time to call the bank and let them know we need our account in traveling mode. It was so embarrassing but She didn’t treat us any different. She made us comfortable and told us with people traveling it happens a lot. I just wanted to say thank you we really appreciate all of your help and hospitality. The room was very clean and so was the hotel. Excellent location for shopping and site seeing and nice restaurants. Everything was for the most part walking distance.
The room was quaint, and very cozy. You can tell that have gone through an interior redesign and renovation which made the hotel look a lot more modern than what it actually is, this is especially reflected in the bathroom of the room that we had. the views stink, but the staff was extremely attentive . The location we were in was very nice. there was a bit of an issue with the TV being left on and being very loud located in the room directly next to us, but this was rectified by staff. Although it did take them quite some time to do it. The only other issue I would have is the resort fee that is charged. while I do not mind paying a resort fee, it should be called a resort fee, and not be called a deposit. One expects a deposit back if one did not use anything from the room, so when I did not immediately get my $50 deposit back I was somewhat dismayed. Guess I should have read the extreme fine print, instead of reading just the fine print. Outside of that, this was a pretty good room for the money we paid for it period and I would definitely come to the millennium Knickerbocker again.
My night here was great! I didn't want to get out of bed, it was so comfortable. Front desk staff was great and very efficient, the rooms were remarkably clean and laid out well. I didn't hear a single peep from any other guests on my floor at all.... And the shower was supreme! I highly recommend booking here. It's half a block east of the north end of the Magnificent Mile and you can easily get all your shopping, meals and site seeing in without never needing to take a car.
