1 21c Museum Hotel Chicago

I really love the concept... and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The suite was perfect for working and resting. The 24hr art exhibit was inspiring to check out super late, when I couldn’t sleep. The staff was friendly. The room was equipped with extra supplies for pandemic safety. I will definitely visit again. Thank you.
2 Hotel EMC2, Autograph Collection

LOVE LOVE LOVED my stay here! So different from all the other Hotels. Very modern and equipped with technology like Alexa and robots Cleo and Leo. My room was very spacious! Everything was clean! Will for sure be staying here again on my next visit to Chicago. Close to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, 360 Chicago. Loved walking around Chicago Downtown
3 Hotel Versey Days Inn by Wyndham Chicago

images
The staffs were polite, supportive and informative any time I asked questions. The hotel was very tidy in all ways. One of my favorite aspects was the meal, it was very delicious, and the presentation was very stunning! Strongly suggested to everyone!
4 The Robey

images
This hotel is eclectic and beautiful! It has so much character. Our room had a phenomenal view and Cafe Robey and the Up Room were amazing! This is the perfect hotel for someone like me, who used to live in Chicago and wants to stay in a great location that isn't downtown. It's also steps away from the Blue Line and has very convenient parking. The staff is also incredibly friendly! Highly recommend and my fiance and I will be back.
5 Thompson Chicago

images
My fiancé and I went here over Valentine’s Day weekend and we felt very safe - all things considered! The location is excellent. You’re close to tons of shops, restaurants, bars and close to the subway as well. The Thompson also had exceptional customer service. The front desk clerks were friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to accommodate any of our requests. Lastly, the rooms were very clean and tidy. They aren’t huge rooms but they’re very nice and most importantly - clean!
We will definitely be staying here again!
6 Freehand Chicago

Pretty solid all around. I didn't interact with staff all that much, but when I did they were friendly and helpful. The water for the showers heated up quick and stayed hot. My only problems aren't necessarily big bad problems. The pillows could've been more comfortable and I feel like the room I booked was a little different from the photos I saw online. I thought I'd have a little more space, but I still really enjoyed my stay. The AC didn't respond right away when I was trying to cool down the room. Thankfully, it was pretty chilly outside and I was able to stay comfortable.
7 Ace Hotel Chicago

images
Checks all the right boxes. Plentiful options for food and drink that are within walking distance. Beds are very comfortable and the fixtures are high end. All this at a reasonable price.
8 Virgin Hotels Chicago

images
I spent 3 nights including St. Patrick's Day in Virgin Hotel's Grand Chamber King Suite. Fantastic room. Size was spacious, furnishings were stylish, amenities were plentiful. Service was amazing. Andrew and Lowie at the front desk were great. Jim made us feel like special guests. Get In The Know, it's worth it and fun. We had a view of the green Chicago River which was spectacular. Location = Superb! Highly recommend.
9 Chicago Athletic Association

images
The absolute pinnacle of customer service. Where to stay in Chicago isn't even a question. Everything is top-notch, even the amazing robes.
10 Staypineapple, An Iconic Hotel, The Loop Chicago

images
A lot of great things to do. We didn't expect to stay 5 hours there but it was definitely worth it! The butterfly room can get a little warm but that's the only negative thing I can think of (barely). My favorite part was definitely the planetarium. Overall, it was a great time and I will be back.
11 Hotel Lincoln

images
Had an amazing stay during a snowy weekend in Chicago this past month. I usually stay near the airport or in downtown during my trips to Chicago and wanted to try something different. I came across the Hotel Lincoln on the Hyatt website and what a great find!!! Hotel is well located in the Lincoln Park section with great food and beverage. Staff goes above and beyond to make your staff perfect. Big shout out to Drew and Van. Can't wait to come back.
12 The Ivy Hotel

I was torn between 4 and 5 stars. If we didn't get such a good deal, i probably would've gone with 4.
This hotel was probably state of the art the last time it was remodeled, but now its just a little worn and outdated. On the bright side, at a bit over $100, its a great deal for a soaking tub in a king suite. The furniture and finishes in the room were nice and it was very spacious.
You're probably not gonna get much of a view since it's a smaller place tucked in between large buildings, but we were on the 9th floor and were able to just see over the building next to us. The view was mostly of the water tank on the roof next door, but the huge windows made up for it.
The TVs are not smart, but do have premium cable. I wasn't able to find any music channels though, so they mostly stayed off.
The walls are thin. I could hear lots of different voices all night and the plumbing is loud.
The staff was nice enough, but we didn't have much interaction with them.
13 The Hoxton, Chicago

images
Other than the two hour wait I had to endure in order to get my room ready, it was the best experience I ever had. Room service was easy and the dining experience was awesome. Huge shout out to Andrew the Wine Director because he was patient, knowledgeable and took care of our table. 6/5 total experience rate and I would love to dine-in again. I’ll probably book a bigger room next time. Oh, and the music they played is great, oldies with a couple of underground tracks. Perfect vibe for the average Chicagoan.
14 Ambassador Chicago

images
Stayed here on a whim out of the area I usually stay and loved it! Definitely recommend Spot Hero to get a decent parking spot nearby. Close to some really great restaurants like the chic Restoration Hardware and terrific breakfast 3rd Coast Cafe. Beautiful lobby and modern rooms. The front desk staff were so helpful and outgoing to make recommendations for the area. Great hotel!
15 The Publishing House Bed and Breakfast

images
I had the best staycation at The Publishing House. It’s in a prime location in the city, towards the end of the West Loop restaurant row so it’s quiet but accessible to some of the best food in the city. As for the lodging itself, it is so clear that the powerhouse women running pay attention to detail in caring for their guests. Everything is well thought out - from the design, to what’s provided in the room, to the common areas. It’s such a beautiful space.
The owner is extremely gracious, check in is earlier than most around 2pm and checked out at 12pm Sunday. So I feel like I got full use of the space. Also, there’s fresh daily made pastries and the breakfast that’s included each morning is actually really good. You’ll have the standards and then a choice of a savory entrees or sweet entree (or get both!)
I’ve told a lot of my friends about The Publishing House because it’s a true gem in the city.
16 ACME Hotel Company

I love this hotel. I've stayed here 4 times. The staff is great, the theme is fun, the hot tub is awesome, it's in a great location, and the price point is spot on. 10/10 would stay again.
17 Kimpton Gray Hotel

images
The Kimpton Gray has been a fantastic place to stay. The interior is well designed and vibrant. The rooms are nice, spacious, and comfortable. Front desk staff was pleasant and easy to work with. The hotel is in a great location, right in the loop downtown, close to almost everything available.
18 The Blackstone, Autograph Collection

images
This hotel is a sleeper pick. It’s a little of the path on south Michigan Avenue but this place is truly a gem! The lobby is incredibly detailed, and there’s a lot of historical and architectural significance to the hotel. Many US presidents have stayed here in the presidential suite which is super cool. The rooms were incredibly unique, updated, and detailed; very romantic in my opinion.
19 Graduate Evanston

images
Very unique hotel with a lot of charm. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I usually don't like boutique old hotels but this has a great mixture of modern amenities with old charm. Great location in downtown Evanston with just a few blocks to anywhere you need or want to go. Would definitely go back!
20 The Guesthouse Hotel

images
Great place!! Super clean, full kitchen, washer and dryer. Feels like all the comforts of home even when you are on vacation. Staff is very nice and super accommodating. Great location for me. Close to downtown yet far enough away at the same time.
