The hotel is recently renovated and decorated with good taste. The welcome and the staff was friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good breakfast with home-made products (also scrumble with bacon!). Nice and cosy living-room with beautiful chimney. Tea and coffee in full-time access.
Sauna in the basement and jacuzzi on the open terrasse are included in price.
Public parking in 50 m for a special price for the guests.
Beautiful set up, but the rooms (superior double) are ridiculously small even for Chamonix standard.
The staff is almost non existent (probably because they are spread between the 3-4 locations) but once you checked in you kind of have everything you need there.
The hotel is in a great location just off the main streets with shops/restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast was good as well. My only complaint would be the lack of air conditioning. It was hot in Mont Blanc and the room was not cool, even with the fan and window open. I would absolutely stay again .... just not in the summer.
I had a great experience at Le Whymper. The main room and breakfast are highlights. One morning, I came in toward the end of breakfast and was the last one to eat. They made me fresh croissants just for me. They were very helpful with directions and local activities. The room was small but clean and very well laid out. Strong internet. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful hotel in the center of Chamonix!! And quite affordable, given all the amenities and features. We really enjoyed our stay here
