I have nothing but praise for this hotel. We arrived fairly late so could not get a place in their (highly prized) restaurant, so we had our meal brought to us on our balcony. The views towards Mont Blanc are simply stunning, particularly as the sun sets on a late summer evening. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ample parking outside and easy to find. The room was very cosy with modern facilities. We would love to go back and stay there again someday
Splendid location with best Mont Blanc views. Very friendly staff. Our dinner was amazing, very fresh, original and delicious, every course was worth the trip. I am very picky when it comes to food and I can fully recommend this place.
This restaurant is outstanding. Now owned and guided by the renowned Emmanuel Renaut who holds three Michelin Stars at his flagship Flocons de Sel just outside Megeve. Opening under this new ownership was delayed by the COVID lockdown, and it cannot have been ideal to be starting off in this difficult season. But this is a delightful destination restaurant for anyone looking to avoid the tourist-traps in Chamonix. The cuisine is a sophisticated play on the local traditions and certainly charmed us.
Our lunch was wonderful and very good value indeed for cooking of this standard. Service and ambience were excellent too. Outstanding views across Chamonix to the iconic glaciers of the Mont-Blanc massif complete the picture.
Thoroughly recommended and with, I predict, a stellar future ahead.
A wonderful experience in a beautiful place!
We stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon in 2006. We were excited to return to Chamonix this year to take a quick photo with our two young children. The “gardener” (an old cranky guy who appeared to be trying to clean up the overgrown bushes) came out and rudely told us that we were not welcome here — and asked “if we would let someone come to our house and take a photo on our front yard?” He was holding a pitch fork and approached us aggressively. He accused of us of working for an “agency”. This was disgusting behavior. We have stayed at the finest hotels around the world and have never been verbally assaulted while taking a photo. We also noticed that the gardens were looking terribly shabby. This is not a 4 star hotel. Beware of the gardener!
