I give up with this hotel. I have been using it for many years but it continually proves to be one of the most difficult I try to deal with. I book around 120 hotels a year and the way this one operates is right up there in the worst five. Their administration leaves a lot to be desired and over the years I have had more than my fair share of many different types of problems. The hotel itself is not too bad, but they have often let me, their guests and more importantly, themselves down. Time to move on and find a hotel with better customer service.
I stay here about 4 to 5 times per season (winter). Paradoxically, it's probably because I stay here so much that it's a 4* review and not 5! Gotta say the staff are very helpful.
Good location, ok rooms, great deco in the bar, restaurant. Lovely looking pool and spa. Breakfast was fab
The hotel is great, the staff very nice and helpful. The room size is fine. The pool and spa facilities were amazing. The breakfast was tasty, with many choice. The view on Mont Blanc was great. Close to the centre. Indoor parking is spacious. We had a lovely 4 days stay there :)
Dr Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. There are exactly two sides to Le Refuge des Aiglons in Chamonix and I mean that both figuratively and in reality.
Myself and 3 others were hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc and had planned to stay for two nights, the first night was the day before our hiking trip and the second at the completion.
The first night we were given rooms which faced the interior of the swimming pool which was peaceful and calm. The second night at the end of our stay we were placed on the side facing the street, needless to say we suffered all day and night.
The problem is not that of the Refuge Aiglons but that of the local police who do absolutely ZERO to stop abusive drivers who parade up and down the streets of Chamonix at all hours of the day and night with vehicles and motorcycles that clearly exceed the noise pollution limits.
I would stay at this hotel again but only under the condition that it were not on the 3rd floor and that it was facing the swimming pool.
