Many things were wrong with this place. The fact we paid for a balcony and received a building site being one. Our balcony was covered in concrete, cigarettes and other forms of rubbish. I left my clothes out to dry and returned to find they were covered with a coating of concrete. The building work also begins very early so don't expect to lie in, and if you come back for an afternoon nap that's also impossible, unless you can sleep to the sound of drilling. It's quite disgraceful that they sold us a room with a balcony and a view.
It's a non-smoking accommodation but clearly people smoke in the common room as it smelt of cannabis and there were cigarette butts.
The breakfast was pretty average, it's first come first serve and they recycle the same cakes day to day and you can only have one coffee, after that it's an extra euro per hot drink.
It isn't too far to the centre of town, bit of a walk however we were fine with that. If you aren't very mobile you might struggle with the walk as it's on an incline and takes around 15 minutes to get to the port.
Positives were there is free parking, except that's first come first serve so you aren't guaranteed. Oh and there is a lift which I guess could be a positive?
I don't recommend staying here, I think for the price they charge you will find better places with more welcoming hosts, less noise and an actual balcony.
The worst part about my trip to Sicily wasn’t the mosquito bites or sun burn, it was staying in this B&B.
In the spirit of being fair I’ll start this review without taking into account any of my negative experiences outlined below and say I would have given them 3 or 4 stars otherwise. The B&B is not as nice as in the photos and is slightly overpriced considering the run down building it is in. The shower is tired and has no pressure and the whole place looks like an IKEA showroom. The location is not far from the centre but is also not 150 yards away as described. Breakfast was ok and doesn’t get refilled, not even the water.
When we arrived Mirko, the host, seemed rude and agitated under the mask of fake politeness. I brushed this off as we had arrived later than we had intended, but unfortunately this turned out to be the best part of our stay.
When we arrived back from dinner on our first night Mirko was in the common area smoking cannabis with a female friend. We later heard them go into the guest room next to ours and put the TV on a high volume while they talked and laughed loudly before they went on to have loud intercourse. The noise went on until about midnight.
The balcony, which we paid extra for and was the only reason we had chosen this place, was a building site covered with mesh netting with wires hanging all over the place. The floor was a wooden board covered in concrete dust, cigarette butts and an empty water bottle. There was drilling and hammering work being done between 7:30am to 4:30pm every day. We were not made aware of this at any time before booking or even after we arrived.
The room wasn’t cleaned during the day, only the bed was made while toothpaste was left in the black sink. The kettle didn’t work either, even when we changed the plug as Mirko had suggested. Breakfast was not refilled because he was on the phone.
We obviously couldn’t complain while we were there as Mirko was the only person working at the B&B so we filed one with the company we booked through and we were only offered another stay at one of their properties.
It’s safe to say there is no amount of money you could pay me to spend another two nights at one of his properties and the problem was not resolved.
I’m sure Mirko will respond rudely to this review, as he does to anyone who is mildly negative, but we have evidence of all of the above.
Please save your money and don’t ruin your trip by booking this awful place.
Stayed here for a week recently. A good hotel and would stay here again.

Perfect location for Cefalù (10 min walk to the beach/restaurants)

Cons:
The shower was broken and needs replacing
There was building work taking place and extremely loud drilling early in the mornings
WiFi is not good/reliable
We liked this place.
Very tasty breakfast, clean room.
And nice recommendations for the food.
