We loved our stay at this hotel. From the check in with Tatiana, who was more than helpful and kind, to our time in the beautiful pool and resting beds in the rooftop this hotel was a 5 ⭐ experience. The bedroom was clean and with a classy deco, the breakfast was incredible and people in the hotel was always nice. We will be coming back.
This boutique hotel is everything! From ambiance to staff to the food and so much more! A perfect place to relax solo, hang out with friends or spend a romantic weekend. The energy of the hotel draws you as soon as you walk in. I highly recommend staying here, or visit them for lunch and a cocktail.
When a group of us decided to go to Cartagena for the first time, we didn’t quite know what to expect. We have all traveled the world, but I can safely say, this was an experience like no other.
The experience of every trip, in my opinion, is contingent on where you stay, and Hotel Agua, without a doubt, set the tone for our incredible trip.
Located in the heart of Old Town Cartagena, the location of this beautiful property couldn’t be more perfect. We were centered in the middle of restaurants, shops, night life, and directly next to the historic St. Cathrine of Alexandria Cathedral.
The property is simply breathtaking; I think for the first time, we all agreed, the property looks better than the pictures. Tastefully decorated with perfect balance of charm and beauty while maintaining its historic roots. Every corner of this property including the rooms, the pool and common areas is perfectly kept and CLEAN!
Finally and most importantly, THE SERVICE! From the time we entered through the doors, we were greeted with kindness and treated like royalty. Not once did a member of the staff say no to us. Our gracious host, Edar, coordinated the best restaurants, sightseeing and shopping experiences.

Nice place and cozy. Close to everything and walkable. I had a suite junior room which was very enjoyable because of the balcony. Hot water in the shower. Breakfast service I decided to take it to the room, it was a small breakfast but, enough to start the day. Just the towels were a little rough for me. I think they need to change the laundry company. Nice place and good service.
We stayed as a couple for 5 days and really enjoyed the quiet peaceful space. The streets of the city are vibrant and noisy at night but you would never know it when you enter the inner courtyard. The building is 400 years old and with the pool in the center courtyard we would rest among the lush gardens. Our room, #102 was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and very good. Perfect location and easy to walk anywhere.
What can i say! This place was absolutely beautiful. I loved every minute staying here. The butler was a great help with anything we needed. We arrived and we given mojitos that were delicious. Also given a tour of the house. Not long after arriving our butler set up fabulous massages for an hr. So relaxing! Breakfast was also wonderful. We sat on the balcony by the kitchen. I overall enjoyed being here. This is definitely where i will stay anytime im in Cartagena. Thank you for everything
By far one of the best hotels in the world! Situated in 400 years old mansion, the space is very unique and simply gorgeous. With high celings and historic decor, it holds a wide collection of modern and contemporary art, vintage books and high quality finishings. Real plants and white candles in the evenings create majestic vibe you never want to leave. Every element in the hotel is thought out. The location is in the heart of Cartagena’s historical neighborhood. Hotel stuff go far beyond their responsibilities. Adding little touches like fresh water and nicely closed curtains in the room every night. Breakfast is delicious and overall service is first class. We extended our one night booking to 2 weeks at Casa del Coliseo! Impeccable.
Unbelievable boutique hotel in the Center of Old City Cartagena. Perfect romantic getaway or place for family and friends. Will be coming back again! Thank you to the incredible staff and hospitality. +5 Stars all around (suites, aesthetics, restaurant, room service, spa, amenities, etc).
Came here for a friend's wedding and I'm not sure about the rest of Cartagena, but I can't imagine you will find a staff more friendly or accommodating. If they dont have something you ask for they will go out of their way to find it. The hotel is stunning!!!! So many gorgeous plants that are meticulously cared for, as is the hotel. I'm pretty sure our room was cleaned or refreshed a few times a day. It is elegant, modern, stylish, and sophisticated, yet completely unpretentious. I literally cannot say enough good about it. Book it, immediately, I assure you, it wont disappoint.
Breakfast was more than enough, you can choose from about 4 or 5 different ones. I don't like that they use to fry almost everything though. Service is amazing and very friendly. People speak very little English. Worth a visit if you like a bit of luxury for your trip
Great location, close to the old town. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is very good!! Everyone is friendly and helpful.
The only thing is that there are not enough bathrooms for such large amount of beds. Otherwise, I fully recommend this place
We stayed in the Viceroyality Room which was large and very comfortable. Nice tile floor and lovely bathroom. We had asked for a firm bed. It was not particularly firm, but was comfortable. The location in the old city was excellent; walking distance to everything and picturesque. There were wooden floor-length shutters for the windows, which we shut at night, making the room silent and cutting out morning light. The breakfast was good; fresh juice, lovely fresh fruit, and eggs to order. The staff was lovely; very helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to offer us a place to shower and relax if we wanted to after our return from the San Bernardo Islands and before our flight back to NY! I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Excelente to relax, close to La Bodeguita and bars. And we also found a place to eat lunch with reasonable prices (san valentin) so, it was a very great selection. The staff was amazing, breakfast delicious and there was something about our bed that made us sleep like babies.
A great hotel and even better the service. People here go beyond and above to make sure your stay is comfortable. Breakfast is super good here too, probably one of the best. Amazing location and the view from the roof top is hands down is THE BEST in town. Definitely recommend. A+++
Very charming boutique hotel with great secluded roof top pool. Staff was wonderfully welcoming and the location was perfectly situated by great restaurants and bars.
Boutique Hotel (Only 8 rooms) Clean, cozy, personalized attention, exquisite breakfast, in the heart of the Heroic "Cartagena the Indias" Restaurants of all kinds, with many options !!! Close to the hotel, you can walk around the city , in carriages with horses it is traditional to do it !! The hotel rooms are super comfortable and very clean, the noise of the city is not heard from the rooms !! For the price I pay for this boutique hotel in the Historic Center it is super good, compared to other hotels in the area !!!!
I've been to every continent on the planet. This restaurant served me the best lamb chops I have ever had. Service is fantastic, plus the live guitarist is absolutely amazing.
Room was very special. Hotel building şs extraordinary. You can have good lunch as well as dinner. Breakfast is very good.
Location is very central of old town.
There is no parking area. If you have you own car or rental which is big problem. Closer parking area 15-20 minutes faraway from hotel by walking.
