PROS
- Excellent location. Cannot emphasize enough. Convenience store next door where you can grab waters. Serrazuela mall is 6 min walk away (for cash ATMs, also a beautiful mall to get coffee), Exito is 3 mins away, Clock monument tower is also 3 mins away). You're in the heart of the action.
- Hotel does laundry in the same day you give them. Cost cost friendly, 12,000 CP for a bag (5-6 items).
- There's a small pool where you can do a mini workout each day. I enjoyed this.
CONS:
- Hard to sleep sometimes. Music is played at night till 1am. Walls are somewhat thin, you can hear what's happening upstairs or beside. There is also a TV/music in the middle of the hotel, where sometimes music is played it at 9am-10am in the morning. So it disrupts sleep.
- Careful of hidden fees. I was definitely surprised of undisclosed fees, so I would encourage other guests to challenge it.
Great location for moving around the heart of the old town, locals eat and shop around this area. Very hot even with AC building is old with a lot of charm !
Nice place in the old Cartagena area, close to Getsemaní and the clock tower. People is friendly and helpful with the kitchen. Some new kitchen appliances, cutlery and plates are appreciated. The place might look much better with a small investment in decoration.
Even though they messed up our reservation and didn't have our room available anymore at the time of check-in, the receptionist - Kevin - went above and beyond to find another private room for us, and he was also really helpful with everything else we needed.
Rooms, bathrooms and common areas are sparkling clean and the minimalist approach of the white color scheme really helps making the space feel breezy in such a hot & humid city.
They have a kitchen, a big room for computer work, great wifi, sweet solarium-rooftop and a pool.
I wanted to stay in this hotel for 2 nights in a shared female dorm. The 6 bed female dorm was cramped with almost no space to put your luggage. It did not seem like the cleanest place either and the bathroom had moisture issues on many spots. I did not receive a key to the room and the staff told me the location is safe. Walking in and out of the hotel I was never asked if I am actually staying there. I did not feel like my stuff would be particularly safe and I did not feel like getting into the bed. So I checked out again and found alternative accommodation.
