First the cons: When I arrived, I was notified that I had to download an app on my phone to access my room. Don't bother reading the "Terms of Use" or "Privacy Statement". You have to use the app, or find another hotel. I would not stay here again for this reason alone. My only other gripe was with the bottles of water. I thought that the maid had forgotten to replace the 2 complimentary bottles of water. I was informed that we will get only 2 bottles "per stay", not "per day".
Otherwise, the hotel is in a beautiful old building, in a great central location. My room was so quiet. In front of the hotel, there is traffic and the constant horn blowing of Cartagena. I could not hear any of this in the room. The breakfast was great. The staff were friendly. If they get some door keys, I would make an effort to stay here again.
We stayed as a couple for 5 days and really enjoyed the quiet peaceful space. The streets of the city are vibrant and noisy at night but you would never know it when you enter the inner courtyard. The building is 400 years old and with the pool in the center courtyard we would rest among the lush gardens. Our room, #102 was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and very good. Perfect location and easy to walk anywhere.
Perfectly located in the old town of Cartagena for seeing the major attractions. Breakfast is delicious (especially the coffee) and served in an amazing dining room on the first floor. The pool makes for a welcome escape from the heat!
Just an amazing experience, which made an already great trip even better. Elegant, relaxing, amazing service and such a chill vibe! I will stay here without a doubt the next time I’m back. I even asked them how I could live here permanently Hands down, 5 stars for this review. And I rarely write reviews. Well done.
A secluded paradise, hidden in the heart of Cartagena. An old monastery, revamped with posh amenities, quaint surroundings, and attentive and friendly staff.
