Reviews from visitors:
I am utterly impressed not only the professionalism of the guy at reception but, also the sophistication of the hotel itself. I was helped immediately (following COVID protocols, of course). I was not expecting such a lovely setup from the outside it looks very plain & you wouldn’t expect much more than just a room with a bed & bathroom. PLEASE DON’T BE FOOLED! you will be blown away even with the standard rooms. I am definitely booking again
We had a pleasant stay , the place is nice I enjoyed everything except the fact that we stayed for 7 nights and they never changed our towels and when we checked it they took R1800 from us and promised to return it if we don’t use their service and we made sure that we don’t, on check out they promised to reverse it within 24 hours but they never did till dot. They no longer reply to our messages. I wouldn’t advise anyone to allow them to take extra money because they don’t return it
Gave a 3 star review because I've previously been here on 4 occasions and had the BEST time. Service, food, everything was lovely. However, yesterday (20 Feb) around 5pm, myself and partner had a terrible experience.
When we arrived, we were greeted by an unfriendly waitress asking us if we've made a booking. When we said no, she said 'ok, sit here,' we proceeded to sit down and she brought our menus.
She took such a long time to get back to our table so we could order (only 3 tables were in use - it was not a busy time)
When she eventually came, she asked what we'd like to drink. My partner asked if they had beer on tap, she just responds 'no' - no more conversation of what is currently being offered. He then asks her if there is Stella and she says 'okay' and walks away - without asking what I'd like to drink.
After a while she pours his drink, comes back to the table and brings it to him, then asks me 'and what are you having to drink?'
We then ordered our food. I asked her if they're still on the entertainer and she says yes. She brought our food, and the entire duration of eating, she didn't come back to the table. I probably sat with an empty plate in front of me for around 20 minutes.
Eventually when it got to the bill - we reminded her of the app and she entered the code. She tried about thrice, then handed the phone back to me and said 'it's not working' when I asked her how come? She shrugged her shoulders and said 'I don't know' I then asked her what is the app showing and she said that it shower 'Merchandiser no longer on offer' I then said 'but when we got here, you said this is still available?' she then said 'yes it is but this has happened to many people here, even today, where the app didn't work with others.' I then asked her why she told me that I was able to use the app if other customers experienced the same.
She just walked away to the other waiter (restaurant manager) and pointed at our table. He then came and attempted the code as well and ultimately told us that we need to call entertainer to fix it.
We left with terrible service and paying a full bill, even though we went there with an intention to use an app which we've purchased for a reason.
Beautiful setting, delicious food and excellent service. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here.
I made a mistake with my first review hence I'm doing it again. I loved it... the food, the setting and to top it off, I was with one of my childhood friends so the catch up was one for the books! Thanks so much ❤
