My wife and I had an awesome experience at Royalton CHIC. The resort is extremely nice, especially for the price. We interacted with plenty of the staff members there and all of them were a pleasure to interact with. I have to mention Josue Barragan and Alain as they went well above and beyond expectations to make me and my wife’s 4-day stay memorable and special. We had the presidential suite with a breathtaking view of the ocean. I definitely recommend that suite. The balcony is big. My wife and I would eat breakfast on it and watch the sun rise and ocean light up in the morning - it was magical. Plus there is plenty of space in the rooms, even with the king size bed in the master bedroom. Having 2 full-size bathrooms with large showers and plenty of closet space and storage space in the master bath was also another plus. The delicious drinks and restaurants were all inclusive so free which was awesome so we were never hungry or thirsty. We were apart of the diamond club membership which allowed us access to all the alcoholic beverages at the bar. The membership was worth it for us. Especially since it provided access to other exclusive perks like the members only pool, section on the beach, and a section of the resort dedicated to diamond club members. 1 other thing I think would be valuable to mention: With the presidential suite plus diamond club membership combination you get a butler. Our butler Alain was great.
Perks: The resort is in a pretty good location if you'd like to leave. A strip with clubs, restaurants and night life is walking distance.
-I stayed in the Presidential suite which was really nice and spacious, two bedrooms with a nice ocean view.
-The service was amazing, staff was extremely friendly and very attentive.
-The steakhouse was probably the best restaurant
-The rooftop was really nice the music was good and there were daily parties
-The entertainment on the mixer floor was nice as well and there was a dessert table that had tasty treats
-COVID test are provided at no charge with results within 5 minutes
Cons: We didn't find out until check in that there was a $200 deposit. Should have been disclosed upon booking.
-The water in the room smelled like sewer coming out the shower. It made my hair smell bad.
-Out of the 6 elevators only 1-2 work at a time so there was always a long wait.
-The food was not the best
-The drinks could have been a lot better. They were mainly sugary.
-THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR TOP SHELF LIQUOR AND BASICALLY ANYTHING NICE THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT TO BE INCLUDED.
-There are people on the beach that sell you tours and excursions and then there are randoms that couldn't confirm affiliation that try and sell at a cheaper price that probably should not have access to the resort. Pretty sketchy.
-The pool area is a little overcrowded which is expected because there is only one pool aside from the rooftop.
-THE $200 ROOM CREDIT IS REALLY JUST A COUPON BOOK THAT TOTALS UP TO $200
All in and all I did enjoy myself, however I have stayed at much nicer resorts where the stay is truly all inclusive. So I would not return here.
Property is a few years old with new modern and trendy decor. Staff are wonderful. Can't say enough about the service, especially Angie (Angela) Diamond Club Beach service. She remembers what you like, has what you want waiting for you, makes sure you're hydrating while drinking cocktails in the sun, is friendly and vivacious. Food is good with many choices. There are several pools, 3 by the beach, 1 on the roof top and more in the spa. Spa services were good. Entertainment needs a lot of work but overall a wonderful time. Recommended to friends who have now booked a trip. Must try the culinary experience!! Well worth it, knowledgeable sommelier and chef.
Great hotel, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The food we had the chance to try in the restaurants was great. There are few pools which gives a lot of space for social distancing. The room was nice, spacious and clean
If anyone out there is searching for deals for hotels and resorts browse through ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ booked a hotel room on there and they had the lowest rates anywhere!
Fantastic Hotel!! Nice crowd, great food, super Room and rooftop. Definitely best deal available.
