This felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Not a good place for being social when backpacking but the rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was solid and the staff were kind and helpful. The shuttle to the "beach club" is worth it because you can get an easy ride there and back costing 16 pesos more for a round trip than it would cost with a public bus. I'd recommend walking to the left and exploring the beaches when getting to their club because it's not very nice in front of it. You could also walk around the bend to the other big beach on the right
What a wonderful place to be. Went there for my 33rd birthday alone and had the time of my life. The hotel is clean, in a good location for walking and beach hopping. Literally near everything you need. Eliel is the best tour guide you can ask for...him and his brother Chris. Just tell them what kind of adventure you want and they'll hook you up!
I only stayed one night. It was great service. Clean modern! Close to good restaurants. I need a taxi to take me to the airport and it was there waiting. The receptionist made the call
Was here just before spring break and it was pretty quiet but such a sorry walk to the main strip and accommodation super nice, such good value for money. Nice room's, and it's an old coverted shopping mall. Very cool place
We loved our stay! Pluto was the best! He made sure we had everything we needed! Close to everything but feels like you're separated from the Cancun hustle. We'd gladly stay again. The room was awesome nice & cool. The bed & pillows could've been better but we enjoyed it all anyways
Wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Big beautiful room. My host Curt was very gracious and fun.
It is so much better to finish the day with drinks and conversation than just going to a room.
Excellent breakfast included also.
The only negative thing is the directions were a challenge. Even with Google maps.

Came here for breakfast and it was very delicious! The hotel is very beautiful and the service is amazing. Michelle is a great host. I can’t wait to go back for breakfast again. Next time we planning staying here. It is a wonderful hidden gem!
This place just make you feel good, in middle of jungle , perfect for creativity,beautiful and well designed , very charming with its antiq decoration in middle of the jungle, thanks Saul to be such a good host
This place was amazing and I highly recommend. Santos was an amazing host, very friendly and welcoming. We felt safe there. The room was very nice. The balcony was an addition plus the pool and breakfast... Highly highly recommend.
Very upbeat! A little outdoor/indoor set up! Lots of open air/walk thru areas. Plants everywhere! It felt like a whole other world here compared to hotels. Helpful staff, and very good prices. Clean comfy beds. The pool was rather dirty feeling, but I'd imagine that's because of the tree right next to it. Like a maze with some new cool thing around each corner.
OK, I'm impressed.
I've stayed at a number of downtown Cancun properties over the last 10 years - this by far is the nicest! Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating even though I was staying for one night. The pool area is large and inviting - it's an urban oasis :). And for me another plus, the parking lot is guarded and enclosed - ! The breakfast was good and the staff great!
I will definitely be returning!!!

I booked three nights here and I only wound up staying two. It is very deceiving on booking it says it's a hotel when it's clearly a hostel. I booked a private room but I didn't realize the room didn't have a bathroom. So we had to share a bathroom with the hostel people, but the bathroom didn't have a toilet seat so I wound up just using the toilet on the bottom floor that the people who use the pool use. How am I supposed to use a toilet without a toilet seat? The room was ridiculously small. Seriously just big enough for the bed. It is not meant for two people in there. My friend is sensitive to mold and her curtains in her room were covered in mold so we had to leave early. Other than that, it was a great location, the staff was friendly, and the bar and restaurant they had was good and cheap. The pool was very nice but it wasn't heated. The Lagoon had crocodiles in it so you can't really go in it because you will get eaten. If I was aware that this place was the hostel, I wouldn't have been so upset. On the level of hostels it is pretty nice. They also have the nicest free breakfast I've ever seen at a hostel.
My mother, sister, and I had a lovely girls weekend at this gorgeous resort. It was breathtakingly beautiful, spacious, and clean (they cleaned our room twice a day). The entire team (from the front desk staff, to our room butler Alejandro, to our driver, to everyone we happened to run into on the grounds) was so unfailingly kind, professional, and helpful. Great food and drinks as well, and an impeccable beach. I couldn't recommend the resort more highly to anyone looking for peace.
Awesome concept! Friendly staff; great price; cute dining area; good coffee; immaculate facilities. This is a hotel experience like no other--you must experience it at least once! The only downside for me is that the capsules aren't sound-proof, so when other people break the rules (for instance, by talking on their phones while inside the capsules), it affects your sleep. If that issue got sorted out, I would definitely stay again. But it's ideal for when you have a long layover and just need a few hours' sleep.
My wife and I had an awesome experience at Royalton CHIC. The resort is extremely nice, especially for the price. We interacted with plenty of the staff members there and all of them were a pleasure to interact with. I have to mention Josue Barragan and Alain as they went well above and beyond expectations to make me and my wife’s 4-day stay memorable and special. We had the presidential suite with a breathtaking view of the ocean. I definitely recommend that suite. The balcony is big. My wife and I would eat breakfast on it and watch the sun rise and ocean light up in the morning - it was magical. Plus there is plenty of space in the rooms, even with the king size bed in the master bedroom. Having 2 full-size bathrooms with large showers and plenty of closet space and storage space in the master bath was also another plus. The delicious drinks and restaurants were all inclusive so free which was awesome so we were never hungry or thirsty. We were apart of the diamond club membership which allowed us access to all the alcoholic beverages at the bar. The membership was worth it for us. Especially since it provided access to other exclusive perks like the members only pool, section on the beach, and a section of the resort dedicated to diamond club members. 1 other thing I think would be valuable to mention: With the presidential suite plus diamond club membership combination you get a butler. Our butler Alain was great.
