Reviews from visitors:
Our family had a fantastic stay for three nights at Le Riad Hotel. Mr. Ahmed took excellent care of us and was wonderful to chat with. The rooms are all individualized, each with its own character and personality. The location is lively in the heart of Khan el Khalili and in the oldest street in Cairo. We will definitely stay there again when back in Egypt!
It's cozy and warm atmosphere, little bit expensive but I got it :D
The people who are working there is just too nice and helpful :)
We stayed Dec 22-25 and Dec 31-Jan 2, 2021. My husband and I flew in from the United States and were brought to the hotel through Memphis Tours. From the moment we walked through the front doors we were captivated by the Old World beauty and charm. We were in the Ottoman Suite which had a balcony over looking the busy street below. We must have stayed there over an hour just watching people, small motorcycles, cats, bicycles, carts full of stuff going by and music playing. We easily fell asleep to the sounds outside. The streets clear around midnight. We awoke early to the Call for Prayer sometime around 5:00am but quickly fell back asleep. We had an abundant breakfast on the rooftop dining area consisting of Aish Baladi (Egyptian flat bread), Ful Medames, Falafel, Tahini, tomato salad, omelette with potatoes and Oriental sausage. We had a fresh squeezed lemon juice with mint that quickly became my favorite ever! Of course there was coffee, tea and water also. The staff at the hotel were all so helpful and friendly. The two Staff that really really stood out were Ahmed, the manager when we checked in. He made sure everything was perfect for us before he left for the night. He was very nice to just talk to. The other man, unfortunately I don’t have his name but he was the manager with us on New Years Eve. The street was very busy and he set up chairs outside for us, he got us refreshments, he stayed with us a lot of the time making sure all was good. We thought we would see him again before we left but we never did. If you are looking to stay at a very unique hotel in Old Cairo, right on the fringes of Kahn El-Khalili bazaar (built in the 1400’s) then this is the place to go. You will experience a part of the Egyptian culture that not everyone gets to know.
Nice, well furnished, clean hotel in the heart of old Cairo. Can be a bit noisy outside, but worth it for the location.
Lovely ,clean and homy place . Very polite and cheerful staff
