Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. There are tons of hotels around Haeundae beach and you don’t want to ruin your trip by making a mistake of booking this hotel like I did.
The hotel is much older and musty than what you see from the photos. It feels like an old motel. When we checked in, the room was clearly so dirty, found so many hairs on the floor, on the cups, on the shelves.. and the big mirror was dusty and had dried out stains. What was so disgusting was that the bath tub was filled with scrubbed dead skin! It was absolutely disgusting.
We packed our stuff and asked for a refund. The response from this hotel manager was beyond shocking. He said what we saw wasn’t what we saw, absolutely refused to give us a refund, and accused us for making up stories when we literally had photos. The manager forced us to sign an agreement that says we cannot post negative reviews online, which made us call the police. As soon as the police left, the manager changed his attitude and kept forcing us to sign the document. He kept us in the lobby for ~6 hours saying that we won’t get a refund at all if we don’t sign the agreement.
I’ve never seen a hotel that responds this way to their mistake. We ended up wasting our entire night in this hotel lobby and failed to get a refund for that night since the manager is not capable of being held accountable. He is someone that you cannot reason with.
The entire trip was honestly ruined because of this hotel.
We also found out that about 1 hour into our conversation, they rented the exact unit out to an old guy. There was no way that they cleaned that room within that time, where we sat and sneezed on the bedding… ew
Not to mention, they didn’t measure our temperatures or anything to prevent the COVID. This hotel is by no means safe. The front desk guy admitted that the hotel hires low quality maids and apologized for his incommunicable manager. I seriously felt bad for that guy who has to work with that kind of manager.
FIND A DIFFERENT HOTEL.
The room was filthy dirty including hair all over from a previous guest and what seems like dried skin flakes in the bathtub. Before we even resolved the issue at the front desk they had put someone else in that room without cleaning it first. That guest also came down and complained while we were still complaining about our stay. At the end of it all they only gave us half a refund around midnight after hours of waiting.
Nice and affordable hotel. Great location, which is also one of its downsides. Can get very loud especially during the weekends. I could hear the karaoke bar from across the street even with earplugs on.
Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Aside from that it's not a bad place to stay.
This hotel is fantastic. We had good service. The workers are super kind they can speak English which is really hard to come by in Korea and the view of the room is so beautiful, When you wake up in that morning you can see the hole beach. The morning Buffet in mandalay which is on the 3f was really wonderful breakfast over there the coffee is not that diluted the food was really delicious 10/10 will come again.
