Terrible customer service. I booked a room in March and the covid pandemic forced me to cancel my travel plans. I requested a refund, and was told by the hotel that I would need to request it through Expedia. Expedia has told me that they need to confirm the details with the hotel, however, the hotel will not respond to their calls or emails. Strange, since they can respond to me telling me that it's up to Expedia. It seems pretty clear that they don't want to refund anyone who's bookings we're cancelled due to the pandemic. I've been trying to get help since March!
Good place
Room was nice even though the view was not as described when booking. Breakfast was amazing and actually had one of the best selections I've seen at a hotel since being in South America. And the staff is very friendly. A few things caused the loss of stars though. The gym might as well not be there. The equipment is poor and limited. The wifi was pretty bad only allowing a spotty and frequently nonfunctional connection in my room, and they were fully booked so I could not switch.
The final blow came upon leaving. I booked a transfer to the airport for later at 5pm and paid upfront. When I showed up at 5 for my car it didn't show for 15 minutes so I asked the staff. It seems I paid and they never booked it so I had to wait for them to call another car, delaying my departure by 50 minutes. I now have to rush to make my flight.
Great hotel. Clean room. Very friendly and professional staff. Centrally located. Breakfast was delicious. This was my second time in Buenos Aires and both times I stayed at Urban Suites Recoleta. Looking forward for next trip.
Rooms are big. Superb location. Right by the cemetery. Lots of taxis waiting by the hotel all the time. We walked to the art museum and the cultural center. Very vibrant neighborhood. If I go back to Buenos Aires, i will stay in Recoleta again.
