Great hotel, nice room. We ordered breakfast upon reservation but only had to choose a menu option upon arrival. Breakfast ordered at 10:00, but still not arrived at 12:30... Called 3 times, always 'it will be here within 10' minutes. Very disappointed in the service.
Even if amenities are in good shape and clean, service is a disaster. Because of the pandemic, breakfast is served in the room and we chose what to be served and what hour a day before. After 2 hours of waiting (from 10:00 to 12:00) breakfast was still not served and we had to checkout, after calling about 5 times reception. It's a joke the service at this hotel, even if it has so many stars around the name. No excuse at checkout, nothing, just the questions "how was everything" and "was breakfast ok". We mentioned that it was not served, but they were not able to invent an excuse and a lie why it was not served; I understood that the hotel was fully booked, but they knew this way in advance, so it's totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel not to be able to handle this situation. 5 stars my back!
We had a perfect weekend staycation and enjoyed every aspects of the hotel. The health and safety measures are a good abundance of caution which made us feel safe and comfortable. The quality of the restaurant is top notch and our dinner at the 1040 was such a lovely experience with both good food and ambience. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. We basically can't wait to go back.
This is our first time in this hotel. The lobby is wonderful and it looks like we are underwater ( if you see the painting on the wall ) surrounded with a green and beautiful plants. Hicham, Panotis, and Gulnaz are very friendly, and the barman he made for us a mocktail drink, called Sun flower and it taste super. The room is excellent and the housekeeping is very helpful. The breakfast roomservice was on time and it was delicious (yummy, yummy ) It was a pleasure to stayed here and we will come back soon.
Stayed here 1/1/2021 - 2/1/2021. We stay at this Sofitel several times per year, and the service is always top notch. This time we had the pleasure of checking in/checking out with Tamara. She was both friendly and professional. She went above and beyond to explain how everything is working with the current covid measures, and make sure every question and need we head was quickly taken care of. I have gold status with Accor hotels, and this location always excels in how they treat their guests. The little touches such as a welcome gift of chocolates from Neuhaus, a covid safety pack (with mask, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes), and an upgrade to a suite helped make our stay exceptional.
Due to covid the bar/restaurant is closed, but this was already expected on our part before arrival. They still offer breakfast from a limited menu which we were given on arrival. You can pick anything from the list which will be ready in a take-away bag at the front desk at a time of your choosing. The menu included omelettes made to order, several types of eggs (scrambled, hard boiled etc), cold cuts of meat, smoked salmon, assorted cheeses, yogurt, a bakery basket with bread, croissant, and pain au chocolat, and fresh fruit.
Rooms are always clean and well appointed - with quite possibly one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Plenty of Hermès bath products, shower with a rain faucet, and super soft bathrobes help to round out the comfortable touches that make stays here so lovely.
Thank you again to Tamara for being amazing, and making our stay wonderful, and feel a sense of normalcy in the middle of this pandemic.
