Reviews from visitors:
It's not an hotel... It's few rooms up a narrow staircase. Bit gloomy atmosphere in the bar. Decent breakfast
In general the hotel is very nice, room is nice, staffs are friendly, location is very good. The only complain is the stairs is very narrow, no lift, so checking in with big and heavy luggage can be a big problem, but you can always leave your luggage down stairs at the lobby and bring only what you need to your room
Nice hotel right in the middle of the city, within view of Notre Dame du Finistere, modern furnishings, great rainforest-style shower. Nowhere to charge a phone. Toiletries were awful. No lift / many stairs. Friendly staff.
A hidden Art Deco Jewel in the Hart of the City. Go have a drink there.
We stayed at Hotel Esperance for one night in October. We were only in Brussels for one night, otherwise we would have stayed here for the duration. It was a well-priced option in a good location, with extremely friendly customer service and an easy check-in/check-out process. We didn’t opt to add on breakfast, but the tavern area downstairs looked very cute and cozy, so I would expect it would have been nice. There were a few things I was not wild about, but over all it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance Brussels North Station, as well as Brussels Central Station, which was extremely helpful. There was no need for us to take any taxis; we could easily walk to and from either station. The location was great in general; in a nice area, close to plenty of shops and restaurants, and very close to attractions like the Grand Palace area. The hotel itself felt cozy, but safe and secure. Be advised, if you are not able to handle narrow and steep stairs, this may not be the place for you.
The room was nice; a good size, with a little balcony, a mini fridge, a large TV, and a nice bathroom. The bathroom was a good size, and everything was clean. The only complaint was the bed; the headboard was visibly worn, and I noticed some holes in the sheets. The sheets definitely needed to be taken out of rotation. The noise level was low – we couldn’t hear any other guests from our room – always a big plus.
I would recommend this hotel as a solid, well-priced, and well-situated option in Brussels. The only thing that could have been improved with our stay was the unappealingly worn headboard and the sheets – both easily fixable.
