Great place. Staff are both helpful and friendly. Rooms are top notch and meticulously kept. F+B worth trying. Everything well presented. Recommend for sure.
We required a group booking for a night’s stay on a Saturday night for about 5/6 rooms. We got in contact with the reservations team who informed us that the minimum nights stay was lifted for that weekend and we can go ahead and book. Upon checking, we were unable to book due to the minimum night stay not being lifted. I rang the hotel 3 times to only be told each time there’s nothing they could do and that they will get the reservations manager to ring me back. Each time I never received a phone call back. On the fourth phone call I was able to speak to the reservations manager who informed me that she will waive the minimum night stay and book the room for me. At this point two weeks had passed and the room had gone from $358 from the first time I tried to book to $779 for the night. She refused to honour the price it was when I first tried to book and said there was nothing they could do. They lost an additional 4 rooms from our group after this. For a five star hotel they were not accommodating at all and couldn’t seem to care less if they upset potential customers. I’ve been to numerous high end hotels where the service has been impeccable but I was really struggling to find any positives for my experience dealing with reservations and the staff during our time spent there during lunch and afternoon.
I should be a valued guest, I have frequented the hotel in excess of 25 times since it opened from Sydney and typically I have been very happy upon leaving. I am a corporate traveler and I took my family with me this trip. This stay however wasn’t quite the same experience. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the service has diminished which is a true shame it’s a really beautiful hotel. I believe a 5 star hotel is heavily based on the service and the overall experience. Today my wife checked out and asked if they could stay by the pool as our toddler was asleep and it’s a shame to wake her up. The manager of the hotel rudely said ‘the pool is for guests only and seeing as though you have checked out you are no longer a guest.’ I have stayed at many lovely hotels but truly this is poor form. You won’t be seeing me back here again and given the attitude I would highly recommend you consider your options. It’s not quite the hotel it once was. True shame.
Something fancy and different, really nice and elegant food. It is pretty expensive though. Very expensive to stay the night too. What I can say is that the staff and very nice and attentive.
Overall, nice hotel. I enjoyed cute room and relaxing time at there.
However, the room seems not clean in some parts. I found previous guest’s trash at there. That point makes fell a little bit disappointing for me. I want to stay there again so I hope they will improve their service.
