From the welcome by Chris who parked our car, to the really helpful reception staff and then being served cocktails in the pool - every member of staff were terrific. Decor and eye for detail throughout is amazing. Stunning art works. Really great food and service in the bar was spot on. Bedroom is stunning. Loved it all, and the quality is amazing. Loved it - thank you.
Friendly staff - special and unique rooms that are quite memorable. Little touches like the lights, blinds and sheers opening when you first check in - very theatrical. Like a cross between a 5 star hotel and a nightclub in the best sense. Very quiet and most things closed on my visit - a 2020 reality more than hotel downside. The pool was good, the in room bars awesome. Immediate area a little dull but a small walk and more vibrant spaces can be found. Will happily return.
This was my first time in Brisbane and the travel was for business. The stay at the W Hotel was phenomenal. Ryan at the front desk was absolutely amazing and was on point with every little aspect of our stay. Honestly, all the staff were great, but Ryan went above and beyond. I have never felt like a premier member no matter my status such as Hilton Diamond. As a Bonvoy Platinum Member at this hotel, I actually felt appreciated and that the service on top of being top notch, made me feel appreciated for the status, even without being a Titanium or Ambassador. The rooms were also absolutely perfect. They paid attention to every possible detail on how to make a stay the best experience possible. I can't say I have ever felt that in any hotel design, and I have stayed at hundreds of hotels.
It's not always about the steak, it's about the sizzle. W Hotel Brisbane was both an amazing steak and the sizzle to go with it. I can't even offer up any suggestions on how to make the stay better than it was. Both of my traveling colleagues mirrored the same appreciation and one of them re-engaged their Marriott Loyalty account. The location is great and the views were fantastic.
I look forward to bringing my family and having an extended stay at the W Hotel in the next few months.
Fantastic property, fantastic rooms, great location but let down by its restaurants. Based on my recent stay I would have easily given this a five star, but sadly my experiences with the breakfast restaurant and room service were less than satisfactory.
I was in Brisbane for a work related meeting at 730am so had to leave hotel by 7. Breakfast restaurant opened at 630 and I was there at 630 but had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. It wasn’t busy - they just didn’t have any staff working. When seated I told them I had to leave by 7 and ordered as I was seated after being assured my breakfast would arrive quickly. It arrived at 7 so I had to stuff a few mouthfuls and leave to avoid being late to my meeting. (the few mouthfulls I managed to eat were delicious)
After my meeting I returned to the room to work and ordered off the room service menu. This time my order was delivered promptly, but was pretty average. On par with what you would get at a tired food court in a tired old mall.
On checkout I wasn’t asked about how my stay was.
It’s a wonderful property and I would definitely stay there again, but only for personal trips. If they can’t offer prompt breakfast early in the day, it makes the place not suitable for a work trip.
I loved every minute of my stay. The atmosphere at the wet deck is sensational. The Pool is kept at a very comfortable temperature. bar and wait staff really attentive and service was excellent. 5 stars
