Reviews from visitors:
I can not express enough how much I enjoyed my stay at the Liberty. Entering knowing a little of the history of the hotel gave me a sense of excited anticipation. Upon entering there is a staircase and you'll see the detail of skeleton keys in the ceiling and throughout the walls. The bar known as the Clink and the lounge area known as the Alibi were nice touches. The area was the jail's former drunk tank. The Yard was the jail's former recreation area and the hotel having igloo enclosures due to the pandemic was a special touch. The room was quite spacious. The antique safe as a nightstand was quite unexpected. I thought the bedding was wrinkled but that was actually a history detail of how the prisoners marked days with tally marks. The bathroom was beyond expectation with the deep soaking tub and separate shower that had amazing water pressure. The view of the city and the Charles River from my window was breathtaking. And to wind this review up the staff were awesome. Extra care was taken requiring masks and food in the restaurant was takeout but there was ample seating throughout the hotel so that guests could socialize with friends while social distancing with other guests. From upgrading my room as it was my birthday to my request for a skeleton key as a souvenir I was treated very well. I will return and suggest this amazing place to my friends. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay.
Went there with my best friend for my 21st birthday and asked for a little special something but unfortunately never received it. Not a big deal but wish it was there. The location is a bit crowded so the valet can be a bit of a wait if you drive there, but the staff are all nice. The rooms were great and very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and has really nice places for dining, can be limited seating though. Overall, great experience and would come again!
A real local landmark. Super friendly staff. Rooms are ok but nothing special. The location and experience makes up for the room. Worth a visit for sure.
I stayed here for my birthday back October. Beautiful hotel. I would not stay again due to multiple incidents. It was 8PM on a Friday and my friends and I had a game on while getting ready when we heard a knock on the door. Security told us that there was a complaint about men yelling coming from our room and that we would get kicked out should it happen again. Our room was all girls and they did not believe us. Second incident of the night: they were having an event in the main hall and required a room key to enter the hotel. The same man who helped me check-in refused to let me back in after I had gone to my car 50 feet away because I did not have my room key with me. They would not accept my ID and I had to call the front desk to tell them to let me in. Unbelievable.
This place is really cool outdoor lounge and indoor restaurant
