Outstanding hotel! We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the historic state building. The view was impressive and the staff was great. The room was outstanding and features a bathroom that makes the Hilton look like a Ramada! Will definitely come back here on our next stay
I reserved and paid for a superior room with 2 beds and an advertised historic city view for 2 nights in which I have an email confirmation and receipts for. I also called and confirmed this with someone on the phone and was assured of my room and it's features that I was to be paying extra for. Only to be told by the gentleman in the front desk that I have no view at all. So he then proceeds to charge me for a superior room but instead gives me a regular standard room with no view, but I paid like I'm staying in a superior room with a view. This is weird, unfortunate and unacceptable. The bathtub seems to be clogged as well.
The location of the hotel and view from balcony is great! However, service is well below subpar. Our stay was over Valentine’s weekend, but problems began prior to the holiday. Fridge in the room was broken. Upon arrival we were told to call down to ask for ice. When ice was delivered we notified staff of defective fridge and were told a new empty mini fridge would be delivered to the room. Upon check-out three days later, we still have not received a working fridge. The next and most absurd issue is that the hotel RAN OUT OF TOWELS! I called down to the desk THREE TIMES and spoke face-to-face with staff TWO TIMES on Sunday, 2/14 and asked for TWO CLEAN TOWELS. Each time we were told someone would be right up with them, to no avail. When returning to the hotel from dinner, we stopped at the desk to ask for towels and were told they had run out and wouldn’t have more until the next morning. I am very displeased with the service, or lack there of from this establishment. Considering the price paid for this stay I absolutely expected better service and at least clean towels. I will book with another company next time.
The room was really nice and clean, included a fridge stocked with items available for purchase. And the bathroom was gorgeous! Perfect location. Right in Faneuil Hall and walking distance to just about anywhere. My friend and I didn’t have to fuss with any ubers/taxis while there, instead just walked everywhere which was super nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. They even let us leave our bags there after check out until it was time to go to the airport. All in all, a great hotel for a great price!!
Location is very convenient if one intends to walk around the city and explore. There’s numerous restaurants in the area!
The hotel itself has retained the old 18th century charm, and the rooms are minimal but well decorated with finesse. We really enjoyed our stay here!
The only disappointment was : their in-house kitchen being shut due to covid; which meant we didn’t get any breakfast or room service. They had partnered with a couple restaurants from around for delivery, but that would have definitely been more convenient if we didn’t have to walk out for breakfast every morning..
