This hotel is clean, it is very close to the downtown, and shopping area. Near most of the most attractions, they have a good measure for the corona virus. What i didn't like is that they don't open the Gym nor the sauna. They have a place to park your car but it is very small, the capacity is 10 cars. They charge me extra 24 euros for one full day.
Beautiful hotel with large spacious rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Lastly it’s in a great location and we walked everywhere.
Whilst this hotel presents well on the internet the actual experience is substantially less than expected.
Check in was laborious and front desk not very helpful when asked about tram tickets (another staff member provided pre paid tickets for immediate use which was very helpful)
When booked in and staying in an "Executive" (or similar) room at other 4* Hotels there have been "perks" or privileges and/or complimentary drinks/minibar and/or lounge access etc.... if you pay a premium price for a room here ... lower your expectations unless you want to be SEVERELY dissapointed... the coffee machine in the room worked intermittently, there was 4 pods but no milk/creme, they gave us 1 - ONE - complimentary Bottle of water for the entire stay and didnt replace it and other amenities during the three-day stay.
When I questioned this with Reception at Check out ( same one that was unhelpful with tram tickets) her response was " but the bottle of water is only a welcome gift... OK so if you know there are two people staying in the room, for 3 nights... you expect us to share this "gift" of one 375ml bottle between us over 3 nights? Pathetic!
OK so do you expect a 4* Hotel to have a bar and/or a restaurant? ... it may say on the website... it may say on the advertising in the lift, but there is neither.. they are "closed" not for renovation or refurbishment, not for Monday and Tuesday... just closed.. no explanation, no apology and no update on their website or notification on their in room/elevator info... just closed. They do have breakfast but only for a limited time.
I could go on but you get the idea, I am not a fan and feel completely ripped off and treated like an idiot, it appears (and I could be completely wrong here) that the owners are cutting costs to maintain/boost profits by reducing customer benefits/amenities, but continuing to (falsely) promote themselves as a 4 star hotel when in reality they are closer to a budget 2 or 3 star establishment... we got more value, more luxury, more special treatment in a rural AirBnB in Saumur than we did here.

We really enjoyed our stay.
Top notch customer service provided by all staff and a beautiful, clean and spacious room.
The hotel bar is not open Sunday/Monday which meant we were unable to try the cocktails (waa) but we still had a fantastic time.
