Reviews from visitors:
The location of the hotel is exceptional. It has a charming inner courtyard. The check in facilities were good and the receptionist was very friendly. The room. although a bit dated, was good with its small kitchen and considering the cold weather the room was lovely and warm. I booked the room with full knowledge of the rate but I feel that the high rate of EUR 180 for two nights (breakfast excluded) is not value for money for what you get. The wifi and the bathroom facilities were both acceptable standards.
Absolutely charming. (Entering this hotel felt like walking into a movie set!) The rooms are well-appointed, the apartments are spacious (and have kitchens with dishes and silverware!), and the courtyard in the middle of it all is an absolute haven. We enjoyed bringing wine, baguettes, cheeses and salads into the courtyard for an easy dinner after a long day of touring – twice! The location is fantastic, right by the cathedral, with everything you might need in easy walking distance. Everyone we met at this hotel was polite and accommodating, and the morning breakfast has excellent food and is beautifully set. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Bordeaux!
Arranged around a courtyard, this is a pretty hotel run by a helpful team who are there when you need them. Our top floor room was spacious, (although space around the bed was tight) and had everything needed to make it a successful stay. Most importantly for any hotel room the shower worked well and the bedding was clean and comfortable. On the downside, the room showed a fair bit of wear-and-tear, (scuffs on walls, dirt and mould in the bathroom, flaking paint) and so could do with a redecoration. These issues didn’t spoil the stay, but since these are not cheap rooms, it is something management should address.
In terms of location, the property is well situated for everything you need to do in town. It’s secure and quiet, too. All told, a generally good stay in a nice hotel run by nice people. It is, however, overdue for a little TLC.
Fantastic room, really a small studio apartment. Great location as well. It was raining, but in better weather their courtyard would have been a nice quiet retreat in the middle of town. Excellent prices. Good internet coverage.
Beautiful place with very friendly staff.
