I met this hotel on the occasion of the delivery of a carbon bicycles rented by my own company (velocerental.com) the staff was very professional and courteous. Suggested if you are looking for accommodation in Bologna to enjoy some road cycling!
the staff are very helpful and kind, breakfast is very good! The rooms are big with a large balcony but no view. Very recommended.
We were here in mid-October. The hotel is a bit tired overall, but clean and the bed was fine. The chief issue is that they turn off the air conditioning. 1) it was too hot 2) there was partying in the streets. The partying was at loud, but at tolerable levels until 2am, but the screaming and yelling between 2 am and 4 am with the windows open meant there was no relief. This was the case on both Friday and Saturday nights, spoiling and otherwise nice trip to Bologna.
I was here just this last weekend, Mr. Alfredo and all his staff have welcomed us like no one as never done before, I felt like at home every minute I spend there!
The room, the view, the breakfast....everything was perfect!
Outside the hotel, you can easily take a walk and reach Piazza Maggiore in 5 minutes, For the services offered and the value for money, at least is a 5 stars superior! My room was awesome at the 2nd floor, the nr 201 with an incredibly view on the Asinelli tower, the breakfast was simply amazing, with a lot of fresh fruits and a great variety of choice...unfortunately I have been only for 1 night, I wish I could spend a week at Best Western San Donato!
The last tip I can give is to book directly on their website, the fare is significantly lower than you can find on the net.
