I'd really like to give the hotel a 3 1/2 star rating. We stayed for 3 nights as a family. The location of the hotel is good as it's near the train station (easy day trips to Florence or Venice). It is a good 20 to 30 minutes walk to the main attractions of Florence (not a problem if you like walking!). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a highlight. Good leaf tea, filter coffee on tap and they will make you an espresso. Usual selection of breads, cheese and scrambled egg. The decor of the room was a little old but it was clean. My big criticism was the mattress on the bed (completely worn out).
I really liked it here. A relaxing hotel with a classic Italian look. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent. The location makes it a great base to explore from.
If I am lucky enough to visit Bologna again, I will try and stay here another time.
Love this hotel! Friendly staff, quality rooms, great spa services and a small gym room. Close to everything!
Nice place. Great location for the train, but bit of a trek into the centre (particularly when it's very hot). Staff were very friendly and helpful.
