The breakfast was wonderful and the staff really friendly. The room was very big and well decorated. However, we stayed on the annex building with no view of the old town.
Do NOT go to Art Hotel Commercianti Bologna under any circumstance with your car or rent-a-car. It is located in a restricted traffic zone, so if you do a single mistake on the route there, you will be receiving a €200 fine from the local police - there are cameras in nearby streets. Trust me, do not book this hotel under any circumstance if you are arriving there by car. What was supposed to be a €100 1-night reservation, became a €500 bill (Bologna's local police fined me €200 on the arrival day and €200 on the departure day with radar photos. The fines arrived together a couple of months later to my home in Spain via email so I was fully unaware until then). The hotel said that there was nothing they could do on their part.
The rooms are very small but the service is great and friendly! As you are in Bologna, noises from the street is inevitable regardless of all the soundproofing. We hardly heard anything but road cleaner machines are loud and will wake you at wee hours. I wouldn’t let that be a deal breaker as you’re going to get the same issue in every other hotel, and for most, even worst. Breakfast was good and we really enjoyed our terrace!

It's a very nice place exactly at the centre of the city, very friendly and kind, beautiful rooms and charming , good breakfast and fast service. The place has a private parking and it costs 28£ per day.
