If you're staying in Bogota specifically at La Candelaria then this is the hostel you should base yourself. Run by a lovely family this hostel is located at the heart of vibrant La Candelaria neighbourhood with eateries, attractions and other essentials just a step away. This place gets so lively at the night as it's right next to Chorro de Quevedo where students from the nearby university throng especially on Friday night. It's all about how you feel, I highly recommend this hostel. Also I miss Herardo, one of the owners of this hostel what an amazing guy, if you see this review check out my photo to remember me, hope we meet again one day.
Best mom and pops hostel. Everyone here was very kind and was super helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great spot to stay in Bogota. Located right next to a mini amphitheater where the locals congregate and drink corn beer. AMAZING GRAFFITI in the alleys.
It was a little difficult to locate at first and on arrival I wasn't sure what to expect but was very quickly made welcome. The owners almost treat you like family and the downstairs area is almost like being in their home. The upstairs gives you a very different feel and more of that hostel vibe so you get to choose. Facilities include warm beds, hot showers, good clean kitchen, TV and a gorgeous dog to play with.
Made reservations on their website. Everything was ok, telling me reservations were done. Get there, the guy at the reception told me that he did not have my name and went back to his computer without looking at me or trying to help. Having a none working website is one thing, having a complete jerk at the reception office is just unacceptable. I would recommend everyone to go to a different hotel.
The owners were very helpful and kind. Hot chocolate at breakfast was lovely. Rooms were quite small and the dorm I was in didn't have a ladder to top bunk. But still nice and clean. Not much social atmosphere though
