Second time staying at the hotel, location right next to ostbanhof is great for getting around and to and from airport. Basic no frills rooms but quirky modern design. Great communal facilities
Value for money. No shampoo etc but given the price that wasnt an issue. Only thing I'd suggest is perhaps smart TVs or option to plug in own devices for international travellers so that we can make use of the TVs.
Nice hotel. It was clean and nice. Good rules about wearing a mask etc. And close by the train station.
The price and the location were the positive sides. However, the work at the reception seemed not very organized (no cordination between different receptionists which made my stay upleasant). The check in wasn't easy. I got obviously a dirty room (especially the toilet). The next day I complained kindly about it to the reception but nothing happened and at the end of my working day I came back to find out that the room wasn't cleaned. In addition, it was too cold inside the room and the heating system didn't help.
It's a lovely modern hostel; the rooms come with handy nooks to store all of your items; good quality mattresses and charge points galore. We stayed in a private room; which sported an en-suite that left nothing to be desired. It was clean, comfortable and homely.
Almost all the common areas were closed due to COVID-19. I found this a bit disappointing since other hostels in the area seemed to have found alternative solutions that allowed them to at least open up their breakfast areas. The fun in staying in a hostel is almost always in the people you meet there; and since we were forced to stay in our room or go outside - this was simply not possible. The area around the hotel is a bit run-down; especially the side of the station. Stick to the main entrance and you shouldn't be bothered though.
I checked in into the room and the bed had many hairs on it. Long and short. I asked for another room, and there the toilet was dirty. The breakfast was 15 euros and absolutely not worth it, you can go to nearby cafes and get something hot for 10.
