One year later.... I'm still waiting for my refund (booking was fully paid in March 2020). They don't even answer to my emails anymore. I'm very sad. I really hope any help instead of a Google style answer "Let me check the problem for you, ...... "
The best thing about this hotel is its location right in front of Poniente beach. Logistics are not very well thought of, if you come by car, there are no signs on the city streets (road access is restricted though you can access to offload and register), there are no luggage carts and you must leave the car in a public loading area while you load/unload your luggage. Parking is available if you pay an extra 17€ per day (says a lot about "all inclusive") though very limited so its always full, you are left to your own luck parking in the city streets or nearby parking (I recommend Colci cinema parking if free parking not available on the street). Food is not great but ok, my biggest complaint is the long wait for main meals. Service is ok and waiters and staff generally friendly and helpful. Pool area and gym are a joke for a hotel of this big. We tried the spa and it was great though you have to make a reservation in advance. There is only a bar fridge in the rooms and a lot more space to hang dry towels and clothes is needed specially since hotel provides no towel service for the beach. Experience overall was not bad for a family of 4, but we probably will try another hotel next time we stay in Benidorm's beach front.
I stayed at Villa del Mar Hotel, November 2020 and can honestly say from the moment I walked into the hotel, at reception Veronica looked after my booking with excellence, very polite, professional and friendly, hotel room was exceptional with sea views, food and drink was nice, overall it was a pleasure to spend time at this hotel, thank you
We have just spent a week at this hotel, the hotel is right on the beach front, the hotel is very clean, the rooms we cleaned every day and the mini bar stocked up in the room, we stayed here all inclusive it was worth it for the drinks but we went out for food as i could never find anything i liked but I'm a fussy eater, the roof terrace is lovely to relax and have drinks on a night with lovely opportunities for taking photos, i would definitely stay at this hotel again.
No measures anti COVID. Rooms and pools without space, bad smell. Restaurant not so bad!
