Peaceful place with stunning views from the pool area. Perfect for the couples, but not too bad for the families either. Stuff is super friendly!
There is free parking and plenty of space.
Room include access also to small waterpark, which is shared with several hotels.
We stayed here for a few days in early June with two kids (3y and 9m old). I would highly recommend both the hotel and the early season to everyone who plans a holiday in Benalmadena.
The weather was a bit windy and not too hot (I personally don't mind that at all). The water of both the sea and the hotel's pool was somewhat chilly. However, we very much enjoyed the lack of a big crowd, plenty of free parasols and sunbads at the beach and relaxing breakfasts and dinners (with terrific food!) at the hotel. Most rooms are equipped with an awesome outdoor hot tub anyway. :)
This is a boutique hotel with not to many rooms, so I suppose it's less busy even in high season than other hotels in the Holiday World complex, whereas you have access to the Beach Club and the rest of entertainment like kids club, disco, evening shows etc.
I want to highlight that the staff at the hotel were great: friendly, cheerful and most of them speaking English very well.
One area of improvement is cleanliness. There were plenty of long, black hairs on the floor of our room even after the cleaning ladies' visit.
That said, we very much enjoyed ourselves and would return anytime.
Myself and my whole family went for a spa day to celebrate my mother and Aunt in-laws birthday. We bought a 30 minute massage, spa circuit and outdoor pool day for the birthday girls and for the rest of us we booked a package just for the spa and pool. It was the most relaxing spa day I have ever experienced. All of us had an amazing time and the staff were kind and helpful and made our day such a wonderful day. If we ever go back to Malaga again, we will definitely go to that spa and most likely stay at the hotel for even though we didn't stay there we found out that it's a kids friendly hotel. It is very clean and I recommend the Hydros to anyone and everyone.
We were staying in the Hotel Palace on the resort and visited the Hydros a few times and thought it was a nice place to have our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner. We went in on the Wednesday, confirmed we could do this, then on the Friday we chose our table and the manager said we were able to use their facilities all day as part of our anniversary. Our table was booked for 8:30pm that evening. We arrived at 7:30pm, had some drinks then went to go to our table, only to find it had been changed to an 8 seater table. We confronted the managers and they said that our booking was lost and they had no record of us booking! Even though we went in twice. We were disgusted with this as it was a special anniversary dinner and felt that the management were not communicating properly and that it was poorly run. We didn't stay even though we were offered another table. I simply cannot recommend this hotel because of this.
