The place nice, and very close to the beach walk and the cable car. The staff is nice and the facilities are ok. We came in November and the weather was hot and sunny (23°C) but the heating was on! There was no AC in the rooms only heating. So the room was to hot to stay in. It was 30-32°C in the rooms! We had to spend the time in the lobby because you can't breathe in the rooms.
There was only one small window that had to be open so you can live there. But the hotel is next to the train rail and the noise from the street made it very hard to sleep.
On top of that there was a problem with the toilet in the room and there was a bad smell the entire time we stayed there. It was very bad.
Every thing was perfect
The room was so clean and big and it have beautiful view of Black Sea and city

Nice casino and hotel. Such a great city view. I recommend you to get a room with city view. I was lucky to take my money 3 times more from casino. But unlucky to get tourist's diarrea from soup i drink from casino. I spent 1 day in my room. So i dont recommend you to eat in casino after a midnight.
No doubt, Welmond is maybe the best hotel in Batumi with a contemporary and a cutting edge design. Breakfasts and dinners are great and varied*. Service is fine and professional**. It has a casino in 2 separate floors, A spa and a pool. The hotel isn't located in the center ot Batumi but transportation is very cheap.
*In a very close by street corner there is a Kosher restaurant/sinagouge.
**We had an unpleasant situation with the hotel stuff. After raising it to the reception and wanted to speak to a manager, they basically gave us the feeling that they wanted to end our dispute asap and with no minimal compensation.
I don't want to hurt the hotel reputation but I don't I want to come again to this specific hotel nor recommend to my friends.
