My stay was great! Super stylish, quaint hotel with character, comfort, and friendly staff. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food at the restaurant is not good. I gave it two chances and both were disappointing. Nevertheless, this hotel is surrounded by so many good food options to try.
We really had a great stay at Hotel Brummell. It was so relaxing to be from home during the Corona crisis. Although it was just for one night, we've enjoyed it very much! The rooms are spacious and the service is great. The diner in the restaurant, where they are working with the guys from Palo Cortao was outstanding!

I stay for 2 months here is my detailed review...
Room Type: Mountain Deluxe, 3rd Floor.
The Room: High ceilings, lots of natural light and spacious. With minimal furniture it has a boutique feel with I liked. It does not feel like the typical hotel room.
Room Rates: They have great rates for long term stays, from 1 week+. So ask at reception.
AMEX Accepted: Yes.
Shower Pressure: Quiet good.
Internet Speed: Good...I had several video calls with screen sharing and it was quite reliable. There were some intermittent failures but these were quickly restored.
Service: All front desk staff (Julia, Amal, Angelo and Carl) are very kind and helpful. They took into account my specific preferences e.g. I prefer to be contacted by WhatsApp not phone.
Cleanliness: Good. My room was cleaned once a week. Initially, the cleaner tried to be helpful by re-ordering my things. But I don't like this and asked her not to and she stopped.
Location: Quite good. 7mins walk to Parallel. In Front of Montjuic. In between Eixample and the Beach.
Restaurant: I can't comment. I was eating vegan/ vegetarian at the time and the menu didn't seem to have suitable options.
This hotel was a delight from check in to check out, all of the staff provided a level of service I've not experienced before, so friendly, helpful and professional. The room was spotless and comfortable, the sauna was a delight and the terrace great for a lazy afternoon. Even managed to take advantage of one of the free yoga classes, it was wonderful! The building itself is also so beautifully designed. I couldn't imagine ever needing to stay anywhere else in Barcelona.
So... Clean, modern hotel. Very friendly staff. We were lacking for nothing. But... let's get one thing straight. The rooms are small.
But everything you need is there. Modern bathroom with heated floor. Rainfall shower. Great water temperature. Did i mention clean? Great location. Just turn left out if the door and go. You will pass everything you might want coffee shops, small grocery stores... all without verring off course. Good luck on your possible upcoming adventure. :)
