The best hotel in town for the money.
I was there a few times already and my stay was perfect: clean rooms, friendly personal and especially great food.
I recommended it to my friends visiting Bulgaria. Hope you try it yourself and for sure you are going to enjoy it!!
This hotel is definitely not 4 stars, especially the service. Only the waiter called Ibrahim was friendly. The waiter from the restaurant in the night was really arrogant and lazy. One other guy smelled alcohol all the time. Jacuzzi was empty, sauna was out of work, although they presented us at the first day as working perfectly. It may have been 4 stars in the past but now it is sinking like the Titanic. Glasses not clean, and this happened not only one time. To complete this "dream team", the guy renting ski is unpolite, dishonest and his skis are out of use. Don't rent with him.
It covers the basics, but to say this hotel has 4 stars is a serious exaggeration (might be passable for 2 stars).
The good: food was decent, even good in a couple of days, rooms were spacious.
The bad:
- breakfast starts at 8:00 which makes it impossible to get to the ski lift in time to avoid huge queues, it should start earlier.
- in front of the hotel you get knee deep in mud
- there is just one old, bad elevator: it was broken both when we arrived and when we left, had to carry all the bags 4 floors by stairs, even when working out was barely working: doors not always opening, doors displayed incorrectly
- the rooms are either too cold (some friends requested to get different rooms because there was no heat in theirs), or too hot (in the first 2 days I could not sleep at night, had to wake and open balcony doors)
- furniture is prehistoric and dirty
- everywhere there are improvisations: bad sliding door to the bathroom, shower cabin with no doors and much much more...
- staff spoke some English, but not enough to carry a conversation, explain or get a problem solved.
- on the last day there was no hot water, we showered with cold water...
- the bus taking us to/from ski lift was often late, and was only working till 5PM, (other hotels did at least 5:20)
great room, breakfast ok. breakfast start at 8.00 so need to pass if wanna go to gondola early.
Great value for money, perfect location, nice breakfast and small but varied spa area. Really nice staff, especially Sophie the manager. Highly responsive for any question or request. Will come again!
