This is one of our local favorites!! We stay here every year and love each visit. The staff are warm and welcoming, and insanely knowledgeable about the area, places to eat/drink etc. Every detail is thought out. The rooms have a modern and homey vibe. The boutique vibe means it's always quiet and clean, and feels like a little home away from home. I never like other mattresses than my own but these are fantastic. I always sleep so well! The bathrooms in the upgraded rooms are amazing (and worth the upgrade)!!! I always love a good bathtub and these do not disappoint. We love the location and East Austin area in general, and how community focussed the Heywood Hotel is.

During our most recent stay (during pandemic) I was in awe (but not surprised) at how above and beyond they went with cleaning measures. We've had a few other stays during the pandemic at various places and nothing compares to this. If you are looking for a getaway you want to feel safe about and also genuinely enjoy, look no further.
I called a dozen boutique hotels as I began to plan my boyfriend’s birthday getaway and of the 12 hotels, I knew Heywood would be our pick. It was the customer service that did it for me! From the initial call to the prep, arrival, and stay, we received top notch service the entire stay. Kathy and Maris were key in helping me plan a weekend itinerary for a special birthday. The location is fantastic, all of their recommendations for dining and adventures couldn’t have been better, and the hotel has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend Heywood and look forward to returning!
We had an awesome staycation at the Heywood Hotel! Maris and Kathy were very communicative and great through the whole booking process especially since things are very different with Covid. The room felt super clean and all the extra were packed that day for us and sealed in plastic. The room felt luxurious and comfortable. East Austin is fun and there is a lot to do around the hotel and the team helped us find things to do. If you are looking for a nice getaway and somewhere quiet this is the place to be!
This is the absolute cutest boutique hotel, nestled in between my favorite restaurant and favorite coffee spot! I snuck away for the night to get some much-needed sleep (mom life, amiright?) and this was absolutely perfect. I’m coming back just for the bed and the robe! ❤️
I mean this when I say it: this was the best hotel experience we've ever had in any city. We felt like we had a true home for our stay with the cozy and beautiful rooms and the world class team available for recommendations and ideas of things to do. The cleaning team were impeccable and thorough. The coffee was the best coffee we've had in a hotel ever. And the location is right in the thick of the best food and drink Austin has to offer.
