Reviews from visitors:
Beautiful hotel with a number of dining options and in close proximity to many great restaurants/bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Line. The hotel was tastefully decorated and the room included high quality amenities/toiletries. We were able to try the coffee shop, taco shop (tried it 3x), and Saturday brunch. Pets are allowed so if you're not an animal lover I would take that into consideration before booking. We would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here for a night. The location is great, lobby is very nice, and the room is aesthetic and modern with a comfortable bed. The toiletries were were full sized with a great scent and the shower had great water pressure. The mini-bar had a unique and diverse selection.
You can tell that
this is an older hotel that has been re-modeled and it shows. The parking garage has stains all over the walls and needs a thorough power washing. The air conditioner in the room was weak. I had the thermostat set to 60 and it was still quite warm. Self-parking is $36 a night - with no mention of this on their site. Getting from the parking garage to your room is difficult. You either have to take the stairs down to the lobby or take the parking garage elevator to the lobby. From there, you have to find a set of elevators to take you to your room. It was a pain. There is no direct access to the floor of your room.
Although there
were some great pros, I’ll be looking to stay elsewhere on my next trip to Austin.
Nice getaway. Walked to the capital. Loved the fun decor in downtown Austin near the bar bridge. Enjoyed the heated pool. Dog friendly policy, Tesla chargers out front. The taco shop and shuffle board was great. P6 was pretty but staff not as friendly. The yurts would make a great dining experience but may need reservations.
The view of the lake from the room was amazing. Centrally located so it’s close by most places downtown. The grounds, restaurants, cafe, decor, and the atmosphere are really the highlights of this hotel. The ambiance is hip and modern. They have a heated outdoor pool overlooking the lake. They are dog friendly. The customer service and hospitality here is above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here.
We got a day use pass at the Line Hotel in mid-March so we could enjoy the warm weather poolside and have some space to work while visiting family. The pass gave us hotel guest privileges and a room from 8am - 4pm on a Monday. I was REALLY pleased to see that the Line is still taking COVID seriously despite what the state government is doing. Valet parking is still not in service but they had very clear signage about where to park in the garage right next to the hotel and it was easy to tell what you would owe. Staff was friendly and informative and the hotel was clean and nicely spaced in the common areas. Everyone had masks on (covering their nose and mouth) and they were still taking precautions inside like having guests swipe their own credit cards for payment, key their own room cards with the help of staff and a spaced out queue at the cute coffee shop in the lobby. Those maintained precautions along with the beautifully designed hotel and top notch location right in downtown, overlooking the river and a walking path made it perfect for us. Bonus perks: complimentary slippers and just blocks away from some delicious restaurants and stores. We’ll definitely be back to try and overnight stay, but for day use 5 stars for sure.
