This is my absolutely favorite Hotel to stay in. Everything and everyone is amazing. Can't wait for my next stay.
SO/ is all about the flashy-ness. From oversized chandeliers to upturned couches, the aim is to dazzle.
Attended a 2-day conference here recently and was blown away by the quality of the premises and food provided.
Day 1 highlight was the roast beef and the smoked salmon on day 2.
Definitely recommend booking a conference at SO/ in one of the many rooms available!
They will not disappoint.
Hubby’s favorite spot. Always a treat coming here. Food and service always consistent. Good after hours free street parking out front. What I love most about this place is that it’s fine dining but the patrons are mostly super casual, cargo shorts and flip flops, but each and every individual gets treated exactly the same by the highly trained professional staff. Keep up the top work guys.
We are currently staying here. A really nice and luxury design hotel, with stunning views over the city. Nice spacious rooms. The only thing, that I really can’t get my head around, is, why a contemporary 5-star hotel, that is clearly focused on modern, luxury lifestyle and therefore attracts an openminded and well-educated target group, extensively reproduces sex-role stereotypes in so many aspects of its concept: we (two male guests) moved into our room today and found two bathrobes in the room: one has “his” written on it in big letters, the other one “her”. Also two different amenities sets: for „her“ with a facial mask, for „him“ with a shaving balm. The same for the slippers: Marked with „his“ and „her“. Interesting how small the details can be that make a modern hotel brand looks a bit ... dusty.
But still, overall: nice hotel. Will stay two more days - and presumingly wear “her” bathrobe tomorrow.
All staff tried very hard to be helpful and friendly, some may feel they try a bit too hard. Staff seemed to know more about the hotel than just their jobs, which was useful.
Found the room layout a bit quirky but very clean and functional.
Managed to work out how the access cards worked. Pool, spa, gym and sauna were nice. If the cleaner had not extensively explained the access and system (eg. towel availability) we may not have used the pool area.
Room air-conditioning struggled to cool the room but very hot weather. TV suffered pixellation.
Had a snack in the reception area, food portions larger than expected so ultimately good value.
Will consider staying there again.
