Quiet home away from home for a weekend birthday treat in an old and quaint part of Auckland. Ten minutes walk to the Devonport ferry passing many eateries and art/craft shops.
Andelin Guest house is exquisite. The hosts have an amazing eye for detail from homemade cakes on arrival to complementary cheese and crackers laid out in the evening which makes for a really homely feel. The rooms are gorgeous, tastefully decorated and finished with top quality linens and furnishings. A short 3 minute walk to the village and the ferry to the CBD puts the guest house in a great location to be able to see the local sights. 10/10!
This is a great place to stay in Devonport. The proprietors seem to have thought of everything to make for a pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great. Lovely fluffy towels. Nice little treats left by the bedside. I can't imagine what could have made it better. Also, it's within easy walking distance of a multitude of cafes, restaurants and other shopping.
Great host, location and comfort. Cant ask for more.
