Reviews from visitors:
I stayed at the W downtown as a weekend getaway for me and my girlfriend at the recommendation of a coworker, and I was beyond amazed with the view, the city lights, and friendly staff that made my stay all the more enjoyable. The front desk manager Ms. Linda was amazingly helpful and answered all of our questions that we had about our stay. She even went out of her way to give us a tour of the hotel and showed us bigger and better rooms if we wanted an upgrade or for future stays. Ms. Linda's customer service needs to be the company standard as I will definitely be returning to the W for my next Atlanta visit.
My girlfriend and I checked into the W Hotel located at downtown Atlanta, GA for the weekend and immediately we noticed things about the hotel that wasn’t very welcoming. Upon entering the hotel, loud music was being played as if we were in a club. We do like to have fun and party but most hotels we stay in play soft, classical, or jazz music for their guests as they arrive inside of the lobby. After being checked in and entering in our rooms, we immediately noticed the pictures from their website did not by far match the room we were in. The paint in the room and bathroom looked old. The pillows had dirt stains behind them. The gray couch by the window had excessive amounts of dirt, makeup, and sweat stains on them. We also noticed a good bit amount of crumbs by the liquor and snack station in the room. We immediately dropped our things rushed down stairs to notify the hefty light skinned woman with the gold hair (we don’t remember her name) know that our rooms were unacceptable and politely asked for a room change. She was very polite and was willing to fulfill our request. She gave us another room key and we went upstairs to the alternate room. Upon opening the door, we instantly noticed the same thing. There were leftover crumbs and hair on the soap dish and even under the new bar of soap. There was green sludge in the sink and also hair and dirt inside of the bathtub. There was hair still on bed and behind the pillows and makeup, dirt, sweat, and food stains on the 2nd gray couch. We went downstairs and notified the concierge woman again (who was mentioned earlier) and right away from her body language she became annoyed and thought we were “nitpicking”. She told us that she would follow us to our room to verify everything. She went in the back for about 15 minutes then followed us the room. After entering the room, we showed her why we were dissatisfied and told us that crumbs and hair on the soap dish we could have rinsed off, the green sludge in the bathroom sink we could have rinsed out, the hair in the tub we could have wiped off, the makeup and stains on the gray chair were already their and were going to stay there. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and one thing we know for sure is that it is the housekeepers job to make sure that rooms are cared for and also inspected according to standards. Then she proceeded to tell us that she was going to check the other room “to make sure we were telling the truth”. After hearing that we did not wait on her return but went downstairs and canceled our reservation and waited about a week and a half to have our reservation and $200 holding fee refunded. Overall this was a horrible experience and I highly suggest spending your money elsewhere on a real “luxury” hotel.
The rooms are not as fancy for the money you pay. Same basic rooms you get at a 3 star hotel. I think they spent more money on the look of the place than they did the rooms. They do have a nice restaurant attached and a nice entrance
If anyone is looking for bargain deals for hotels browse through ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a resort on there and these guys had the best prices worldwide!
The most amazing, artistic, hip hotel I've ever been to. Everything about it is cool. Prices aren't bad for the service, amenities and unbelievable rooms and pool on the 15th floor outside balcony.
Not a fan of the style, would suggest autograph nearby. This area has turned a bit dangerous during COVID. The rooms here at the W and very dark and club type. Showers are pretty cool and we could see the silhouette of each other showering from the bed with frosted glass with the shower in the middle of the room. We enjoyed the higher floors for Atlanta views.
