Reviews from visitors:
Friendly staff and management. Room was very nice and clean. Accommodations for me were met with ease. Also gave me a Free, unexpected but appreciated, drink from the bar while I wait for the clerk to get a key ready for the room. A1 5 stars
The staff doesn’t seem to enforce the mask safety. Also saw the staff themselves not wearing masks in the elevator.
In Regards to the rooms Someone said it perfectly feels like your staying at a hostel.
Currently because of covid you are really staying at the Marriott autograph collection as those are the amenities you use. I wouldn’t pay more to stay at the Moxy since you don’t really get to enjoy any part of the hotel other than the room.
Here’s what I liked - they really used the space well. Nicely decorated. Cozy. They give you a free Moxy cocktail (Bacardi dragon with lime juice) and it is yum! What I didn’t like: I stayed in room 1017 right across from the Tiki Tango Hideaway Oasis and each night I stayed (Sat and Sun) it was super loud. Not just the music but also the drunk people falling and yelling on the street.
Wanted to have a little stay-cation close to home since traveling isn’t really an option right now. Moxy looked fun and the pictures made it seem like it had a great pool which is really what I was looking for. Was pretty disappointed to find out that just about everything that made the Moxy look cool outside of the pool was closed. The one bar that was open was reservation only. The pool area closed at 7 as well so after 7pm we were left with no place to just be able to relax outside like we wanted. This was disappointing but understandable given the pandemic. What was more frustrating is that we were charged full price including a 30 DOLLAR parking fee over night. Still, all of this would have been understandable if the pool was even remotely what was pictured on their website. The pool was 3 feet deep all around. It was about 8 feet wide and maybe 15 feet long. There was construction all around that was noisy and made it anything but peaceful. For as much as they shut things down, they still allowed dozens gather by the small pool with no precautions. I feel as though I was knowingly and willingly ripped off by this hotel and I hope to save you the same trouble.
I loved this hotel! Loved it.
I was in Atlanta Sun 1/3 - Tues 1/5 and I hate that I didn’t book at Moxy first.
I initially called before I booked and spoke to Timothy, he was very helpful.
I went to check in at 3 and was greeted by Nicholas. Nicholas was so kind and courteous the whole night. He thoroughly explained how to get to my room (the halls are a decent walk, I didn’t mind tho), I got there with no issue. He explained the hours of the lobby bar. Then later in the night I had called to request additional towels, Nicholas brought it up to me so quickly. Thank you!
The rooms are beautiful. I love the simplicity of them. And the bathrooms... the bathrooms... smh. No words or pictures will do them justice. It’s so much better to get this full experience in person. Everyone was so nice. Definitely recommend. 5/5 across the board. Thank you!
