Reviews from visitors:
Guest service was the best part about the hotel. They have nothing to offer, not even a bagel or nice size coffee maker to brew coffee. And for the parking ramp to be connected to the hotel prices should be better for guest who are staying more than two nights. Do not recommend staying here.
What a beautiful historic hotel!! Right across the street from the Fox Theater within easy walking distance to midtown’s numerous restaurants, shopping and cultural attractions.
We came for a sweet 16 celebration and chose a three bedroom suite. It was clean as can be, spacious, and had a nice view. The beds were fabulously comfy and the bedrooms spacious. The community area was set comfortably and also had plenty of room. I did not take in room pics before we moved in so...sorry!
The full kitchen could be stocked a little more (no paper products or linens) and the tiny coffee maker was useless.
I will complain that we seemed to have no control over the thermostat (turn it up but no movement) and could not get the room warmer than 65. Our visit was in February, so a little more heat would have been nice, but it is a 100+ year old building. About midnight, I ventured to the front desk for blankets as they are not kept in the room. With COVID, I understand, but it would have been nice for someone to bring to us. I looked like the blanket monster making my way back to our suite.
When we visited the hotel restaurants were closed.
The staff was delightful, distancing is clearly encouraged, and the hotel was clean. They have self parking in an adjacent deck, $30/day to self park. The parking deck is scary but they all are to me, so take that for what it’s worth.
Do not stay there. They charged my credit card for fees not discussed. The receptionist at the front tried to charge my credit card for extra money. She first said that the deposit is $150 which includes parking for $30 but ended up charging my credit card for almost $200 more. She then removed the charges once confronted and had no reason why it was there. Then the thermostat broke and they said no one can come fix it till days later!!!! Then when you call the front desk it keeps ringing or she picks up the phone and hang it up. We had better luck at the Georgia Tech hotel. They were honest an compassionate.
This is one of my favorite hotels to frequent when I am in the city. The staff is always friendly. I prefer to 2 bedroom suite. On my last visit (1/15 - 1/18), I was shocked to find out they no longer valet parked due to covid and the kitchen in the room I had was not stocked with dishes or cookware. The bellmen were still there to help you unpack your car though. I love this hotel.
Great, Clean
