Hotel is amazing. Check in the experience was fantastic, and Tyler was extremely helpful in the checking process. Room was comfortable and clean. Fitness center was excellent. My only issue was with the room service, as the sandwich I ordered came with a bottle of Tabasco that was well past expiration. Hot sauce is normally red and this was yellowish green. other than that, I had a fantastic and spirit and definitely would be back.
The hotel finishing are nice and the amenities are numerous. However attentive front desk staff was not empathetic when we had to move hotel rooms in the middle of the night due to a party in the next room over from us going past midnight. After being moved I would have expected an apology and a comped meal maybe.
Room service food was expensive but tasty. The views were really nice of the city. Valet service attendants were nice but upon checkout the computers were down making it uncertain if we were able to tip the room service staff.
Enjoyed our stay. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Too bad all the amenities were not available due to pandemic. We liked the texting method for maid service. Wish the room refrigerator was better. Too full of hotel items to purchase and not enough room to put your own items in. Plus not cold enough for mu taste.
Stayed here one night, and was severely bitten by bed bugs. I indicated this in my post-stay survey, and heard nothing. I emailed the hotel, and heard nothing. I then went to the front desk a day later and they took a statement and some pictures. They said they'd "get back to me". Nearly a week later, and nothing. Due to this poor customer service, I've cancelled the stay I had planned for the downtown Chicago location. This was my first, and last, stay at a Loews hotel.
As soon as we arrived some drunk people were fighting at the bar next to the lobby... the security took a long time to arrive and take care of the situation... then we wanted a room with a nice view instead we got the side of the building and to the right a parking lot that was our view... we requested what the hotel calls "oversized bathtub" wich is Super Small... and the hot water wasn't working so we couldn't even use it... room service "24/7" after 11pm just microwave sandwiches... and then by the time of checkout there was some discrepancy with my bill... and the lady at the reception had some attitude... honestly i wouldn't recommend this hotel... is not worth $500 there is A LOT of better options in downtown for the same price or better...
