This ESTABLISHMENT was not what I expected based on their pictures online. After my tour of the property, I was disgust. I spoke with management like a GENTLEMAN would and voiced my concerns. I would expect a fine ESTABLISHMENT such as this to provide basics such as towels and lights that work. Why did I splurge on this hotel only to be awoken at all hours of the night by the riff raft. When I went to the lobby in the night I was greeted by a homeless GENTLEMAN who woke up when I entered the lobby. He served as a makeshift concierge and I’m not sure if he’s on the payroll or just answers questions when they are short staffed. The only saving grace and redeeming quality I can say is that the lotions and soaps are of such quality and an invigorating scent that these are some of the finest I’ve used. I asked if they sold them by the bottle but they don’t. Come for the lotions but nothing else.
Poor desk clerk guy was overworked. We booked a non-smoking room but when we went to the room, it was very messy and smelled heavily of smoke (sign said non-smoking). Went back down, waited 20 more minutes, got another room but the key didn't work. Went back down and finally got things sorted. Took us 1 hr and three trips up and down the elevator in total.
Clerk was very nice and understanding but needed more assistance. He was still at the desk when we checked out in the morning.
One night for two was affordable (~$100), parking was accessible but took 30 mins to get a pass ($10). Convenient location at a good price, but staying here might mean waiting for awhile.
The pictures are only accurate for the lobby. There was no breakfast or coffee. The day shift clerk could use some help and the night shift clerk was rude. The room was nice but the shower wouldn't drain.
I am not sure if it was just the time of year, I booked this for a client and they reported that the stay was not pleasant at all. They checked in on Thursday and the young was pleasant, but going into the room was a different story. Eventhough they had a double room they was given one towel and wash cloth per bed after requesting additional towels. Due to the shortage of room keys it was only one key per room. One room had been vacant for a while so the clients had to clean the room before they could get comfortable. The lobby door and garage door were broken so they were inconvenienced by waiting on someone to open either door. Then they were never informed that if you don’t let the front desk know you want towels your room was not cleaned. The day of checked they called to say that there was little to no hot water. There was also an extensive amount of noise.
Great center court yard. Only come when it is warm!
Rooms have little heat. We just camping on Cumberland Island so we had our camping gear. Used our sleeping bags. 51 deg F from my watch sitting on bed stand
Window blinds are too thin to keep out the court yard light.
Nice lobby
